I think I made a similar thread years ago, but I thought I'd make a new one.

Sleep fascinates me.

So, I have some questions for you. I will put my answers beneath them, but I'm interested to hear yours.

1. What position do you sleep in?
I fall asleep on my side, but 99% of the time I wake up on my back, typically with my hands above my head and crossed, or one on my forehead. I find this interesting because I absolutely cannot fall asleep on my back worth anything.

2. What size bed do you have?
I have a queen and sleep alone, but I still sleep about four inches from the edge. Which I suppose works out since it's more room for the pets.

3. Have you ever woken up from a dream laughing?
At first I put no, but I think I have, actually. Someone told a funny joke.

4. Have you woken up from a dream crying?
Yes. Several times, and I still remember each dream fairly vividly

5. How many hours of sleep is best for you?
I typically get around 7 hours during the work week, I should probably get closer to 8. Anything less than 5 or 6 and the next day is a rough one (and I'm not a coffee drinker).

6. Do you sleep with anything?
I have a big stuffed unicorn that I've had since I was 11 that I still sleep with every night.

7. How do you like to sleep?
Complete darkness (I have blackout curtains) with a fan on. I have no idea how people sleep in complete silence!

8. Do you get up at the first alarm or are you a snoozer?
Definitely a snoozer. I typically get up about 20 minutes after my first alarm goes off. I also set three alarms: One on my FitBit ("Hey, it's morning"), one on my phone ("Okay you should really get up") and then one on my alarm clock ("OKAY GET UP").

1. I sleep on my stomach but wake up on my back sometimes.

2. Kind of embarrassing but I don't know.

3. Not that I can remember.

4. Not that I can remember.

5. Anywhere between 5 to 8 hours.

6. Nope.

7. I sleep with my TV and a fan on.

8. Don't have an alarm set up in my room. No job at the moment so I don't have to get up at a certain time.

1. What position do you sleep in?
I try to sleep on my side most of the time to alleviate lower back pain. I often find myself on my back though.

2. What size bed do you have?
Sleeping single in a double bed. Good luck getting rid of that Barbara Mandrel earworm. Muwahahaha.

3. Have you ever woken up from a dream laughing?
No

4. Have you woken up from a dream crying?
Yes.

5. How many hours of sleep is best for you?
I would prefer 8-9 hours a night but it's not possible with my living situation. I make due with much less.

6. Do you sleep with anything?
A Doberman Pinscher

7. How do you like to sleep?
Room dark as a cave and silent as a tomb. Prefer the room to be cool-to-cold.

8. Do you get up at the first alarm or are you a snoozer?
I get up when I am called. I get a phone call every morning when it's time to help my Dad to the bathroom. What a charming way to start your day - wiping a grown man's butt.

Wow... my answers are so lame compared to the OP. :/ Oh well... I'll sleep on it....

Hey,
1. Every which way possible = I'm like the animal that circles my bed so I can get just right! I'm very picky and hate it.
2. Queen and I take up the hole bed
3. No
4. No
5. 6 to 8 hrs
6. Lol, not yet ;-) to the ladies. . . . . Well, just one :p
7. Cool, quiet , and dark
8. 1st alarm is the radio (Christian station) if that wakes me up I like laying there and wake up slowly until all heck brakes loose by the 2nd alarm = loud and annoying - get my buns out of bed to shut it off. And yes, the alarm clock is on the other side of the room!

1. What position do you sleep in?
I can sleep in many different positions, including: sitting down, vampire position (on back and arms crossed over chest), on stomach, either side, legs together-crossed, or dangling. Face on pillow, under pillow, or planted in the mattress.

Other details are omitted.
2. What size bed do you have?
Single, roll-away style-- for movability and space.

3. Have you ever woken up from a dream laughing?
Yes. I have also gotten up thinking about reading Braille, speaking in Spanish, people, God, and... work :(.
4. Have you woken up from a dream crying?
Yes. Out of praying in my sleep as an adult, or out of nightmares as a kid-- I've had tears in my eyes.
5. How many hours of sleep is best for you?
I do best with my solid 6, with naps as an option.
6. Do you sleep with anything?
I am not against stuffed animals, but I do not have anything of the sort.
7. How do you like to sleep?
(pass)
8. Do you get up at the first alarm or are you a snoozer?
I am not sure. If I plan to wake up at a certain time without an alarm, then I often wake up hours earlier.
If I do not set an alarm before going back to bed, I can sleep past stated time.
Therefore, I tend to wake up earlier.

Yet, I have to change the alarm sound/pattern, when I use it repeatedly, because my brain will hit snooze--if nothing else does.

Side note: I broke my first-ever CD by hitting "snooze" when I was 18.

Well I sleep in my twin bed on mostly my stomach but I'm usually tilted a bit to one side so I don't smother myself. I wear facemask and earplugs to shut myself off from the world and there might be an extra pillow as a stuffed animal subsitute because sometimes you just need something to hug. My favorite way to sleep is to fall asleep shortly after going to bed and remain in dreamless (or at least unremembered dreams) unconsciousness until about 5 minutes before the alarm goes off (because the alarm pulling me out of deep sleep is just miserable). I try pretty hard to get my 8 hours each night because I know that at 6 hours or less, my brain just won't be working properly. And no I don't believe in snooze, but there may have been times recently where the alarm goes off and I turn it off but still take 20 minutes or so to talk myself into getting out of bed.

1. What position do you sleep in?
On my side. Can't sleep on my back, I wake myself up with my snoring.

2. What size bed do you have?
Air mattress, whatever size I happen to get after the previous one deflated. Been sleeping on an air mattress 20 years or so. It's more comfortable than any "real" mattress I've ever found.

3. Have you ever woken up from a dream laughing?
Multiple times. I just can't remember the jokes that were told. They were really funny in my dream though.

4. Have you woken up from a dream crying?
Nope. I've woken up depressed though. I dreamed the world was going to end, everybody knew it and there was nothing we could do about it, so we all just sat around at work kind of resigned to it.

5. How many hours of sleep is best for you?
(From a joke book) "I can get by on six hours, but ten feels so good that I usually sleep fourteen hours."
Actually seven hours' sleep is a normal night for me. I can get by on less, but if I get less than five and a half hours of sleep I'm gonna need some dark chocolate to make it through the work day.

6. Do you sleep with anything?
Just me and my pillow. I'd sleep with a cat but I live where I can't have an indoor cat. Last week I visited mom and one of her cats adopted my bed every night, quite without me doing anything to cause it. Maybe I should visit mom more often...

7. How do you like to sleep?
Like I'm in a cave - cold, dark and quiet. Cold is essential. Dark and quiet are nice, but not required.

8. Do you get up at the first alarm or are you a snoozer?
I go to work at 9:30am so I don't bother setting an alarm. I always get up somewhere between 4am and 6am. When I had an earlier job though, I always got up when the alarm went off. Snoozing is an exercise in frustration. I can't get back to sleep when I know that (deleted) (censored) (expurgated) (redacted) thing is going to go off again in just a few minutes.

What position do you sleep in? My back or my right side

2. What size bed do you have? Queen sized bed for the queen of sleep of course :p

3. Have you ever woken up from a dream laughing? Not that I can recall , but I know I've woken up smiling.

4. Have you woken up from a dream crying? Most likely

5. How many hours of sleep is best for you? I need to be getting about 6 hours but I currently run off less due to my own bad decision to stay up late.

6. Do you sleep with anything? I have about 8 regular pillows and 2 alpaca pillows/stuffed animals

7. How do you like to sleep? Dark, with the door shut and my fan on high. I much prefer cold rooms. Noise doesn't bother me but I don't sleep with music or TV on.

8. Do you get up at the first alarm or are you a snoozer? I set my alarm , but most of the time it does no good....so a phone call is usually necessary.

Does anyone own "MY PILLOW?" If so, was it worth the money? I could use a really good pillow. :)

Pillows seem to either be too flat or too fluffy. I never can seem to find one that is just right.

Yep,hubby complains of the same thing. I have a flat pillow because I suffer a bad neck. He went to Walmart and got one that he says works for him.I think it was one by Serta. But one reviewer said the my pillow was just chopped up foam.lol I figured it wasn't worth the $50 asking price.

This seems like good info. They tell you the type a pillow you need based on sleeping position.
