Reader's Digest has a contest called Finish the Sentence. They give you a prompt, and you fill in the rest. Some of the prompts really make me reflect on my own life. I enjoy 'em, so I decided to share some here. Here's one that really made me do some reflecting.

Finish the sentence: I would tell my teenage self ______________________.

Proverbs35, "I would tell my teenage self to focus on higher education; don't just stop after completing your undergrad."

Get off your lazy butt and learn to play the piano. You're going to regret not learning it someday.

Man, if I could play in real-time... You have no idea how much faster I could whip up soundtracks.

I would tell my teenage self to cherish every moment and take LOT pictures with friends and family... because that moment will never back and you'll missed them one day ;)

I would tell my teenage self that my actions today can either make or break the life I will live tomorrow.

Don't let people rule your life; if you don't have a good relationship with them don't let it destroy you, and family isn't everything. No one is perfect, and never let anyone try to make you think you should be.

Not to get married at 17....stay in school - Go to college and pick a career there will be plenty of time to get married.

At least I didn't have a child right away I was 25 when I had my daughter....so it wasn't a shot gun wedding.

*Picks up the phone to call my past self*

Past me: ...Hello?

Future me: Hey Sonia, this is you 0.000000000001 seconds from now. I got this question asking me what I would tell myself in my teenage years, so you would have to do. I just wanted to say...

Past me: ...What?

Future me: Meow :3

Past me: ...........

*Past me hangs up*

"Don't hop in bed with the first woman that offers. You'll regret it for the next 14 years in the form of child support payments until he is adopted by his Mom's husband. In fact, just stay the heck away from women, period. Every single one of them is crazy as a sack full of cats."

I'm going to go the opposite route Pipp...take less time for myself and more for my family and loved ones...not that I don't make time for them but I'd have made even more time for them :)

Nothing about the future as that would violate the temporal prime directive.

I think the following would do for my teenage self

1. Stop being shy
2. Don't ask out Esther as she will reject you badly when you do ask her out.
3. Take your time in getting to know someone, don't jump into relationships for the sake of not wanting to be alone.
4. Continue going to college
5. Don't get married young
6. Save up your money to buy a car before you turn 21 years old
7. Talk to Gilda even though she will treat you mean as a teenager later on in life, she opens up and wants to be your friend after high school years have gone. Try being friends with her and seeing where it goes from there.
