four years. That is hardly enough to give people any idea of who you are. Also,
this is not a dating site. Some people have found a girlfriend or boyfriend here,
or even a husband/wife, but the site is not here for that purpose, so using it

So let me get this straight, you don't feel good about going into a local church, getting to know the people there, and possibly eventually dating and marrying one of them. But you think it is a better idea to pop in occasionally to an internet site and you'll meet someone to marry. Since you asked, I think you would be much better off looking in your local church. You'll have more in common and you'll have a community around you both to support and advise you in your relationship and if it comes to it, marriage. Personally I'd have to be much more impressed with someone online to consider a relationship than I would getting to know them slowly and naturally in person.

Im afraid about using dating sites. It's easier to be fake and hide things on the internet - dating site or not - than it is is person. That ought to make you more fearful of the internet than a physical church building.
