Ok, specified to an outcome of a defined limit, yes, pi will have an end. (Better?)

Hellooo's SS number must be lost somewhere in the Great Abyss (which would say a lot about the government's numeric identification system... )

We also used to have a moderator here on CC named Banana Pi, and like her namesake, was a math whiz. She used to joke and banter with us regularly in the threads, and was a ton of fun.

Banana, if you happen to read this, we miss you and hope that you (and Mr. Moosetracks ) are doing well.

I love pizza (with crust) but I'm kind of like the Goldilocks of pizza. I don't like thin crusts, and I don't like a crust so heavy that you could cut cinder blocks out of the dough (which a popular hang-out was known for back when I was in college.)

However, I'm also someone who, if I actually ate everything I love, would weigh 800 pounds, so I try to only have them on extra-special occasions, or else try to have a healthier version of them.

Instead of fried chicken, I've made baked chicken strips with a Panko crumb "batter", and instead of regular pizza, I make a concoction of an egg patty omelet with pepperoni, pizza sauce, and mozzarella. Admittedly, it ain't the real thing, but it suffices for trying to keep the scale in check.

"Pie" is actually something I don't sacrifice too much on because I usually only eat the filling and try to tell myself I'm saving at least half the calories anyway.

Some foods are just best with a good battering... and a salt.

Fast fact: For really good apple pie, add a touch of lemon juice. No I'm not kidding. The citrus brings out the apple flavor like you wouldn't believe.

In fact a bit of lemon juice can be used in flavorless off-brand apple juice to make it taste like juice from winesap apples.

I learned this from reading the ingredients of a piece of apple flavored candy. "Lemon juice? In APPLE candy??" So I tried it.

I hope it tastes better than squeezing a bit of lemon onto a sliced apple. Fine for halting the oxidation, but kinda ruins the sweet flavor.

Nah, it doesn't work so well that way. And it DEFINITELY ruins bananas! Some people soak banana slices in lemon juice before putting them in homemade banana pudding because it keeps the banana slices from getting old. Big mistake! NASTY mistake! Blech!

But in apple pie or apple juice, just a touch of lemon makes a world of difference. Same thing with orange and peach - add a bit of orange juice concentrate to your peach cobbler and it makes it marvelous.

    Chocolate. Hands down.

(Side note: Be very careful what you post on Facebook...it may cause someone to make pie! True story.)

Okay.... soooooo.... what's the downside? Any story that ends with a pie being made is a good one.
