If the waters are sweet

(taking a chance)

Love is sweet to the tongue
if the waters are sweet
yet at the same time
we are sacrificing our
heart at the very
moment we make
our friend-to-mate
the object of our affections

(rejection)

When we make a commitment
we try to grab love before
it vanishes
and when it does
our heart refuses to realize
what just happened until
time is consumed and our
mind send a million messages
to our heart to make what
was once a dream
a very harsh reality

(success....for those with patience and perseverance)

yet when we have found
that one true love that
proves itself honest
sincere and true
it is up to our heart
to contain the happiness
that can be only shared
between two people.
