I sucked my finger.
True story, I sucked my finger when I slept and sometimes not when asleep until I was 18 or 19 and one day just stopped. I never sucked it in public, though. I still find myself not using my right pointer in an effort to “keep it clean” like I used to do as a child. It is longer than my left pointer, but not noticeable to anyone but me.
