I was just curious to see what peoples opinions were about clothing styles. Would you date someone of the opposite sex that wore a particular clothing style? Would you not date someone because of their clothing style? I was just curious to see what peoples input about clothing styles and dating is.

If they were, in a word, messy? I'd have to think about it... probably not.

I like when guys wear skinny jeans, so tight that it will prevent them from having children later. Yep, just love that look.

....But, all kidding aside, the style of clothing doesn't matter too much, but rather how they present themselves whatever they are wearing. I've seen guys wear jeans and t-shirst and look great, and then I've seen guys who wear the same basic clothing, but they don't take care of it and the guys look like they have no interest in personal hygiene. Same basic look, but comes across two completely different ways. Like lightbliss said, the only problem I'd have with a style or look is if the person looked messy, like they just didn't care. It sends the wrong message, and I'm sure the same is true with the guys and how they feel about women's style. It's not so much the type of clothing they wear, but how they present themselves. If a person looks like they don't care, then they are sending the message that they really don't care.

Oh, and I actually hate the "skinny jean" look, on 99% of people, male or female. Not many people can pull it off.

I don't think a clothing style would stop me dating someone as clothes don't make the person, but there are some styles I don't really like, skinny jeans are the WORST!!

As a general rule I don't like it when people wear really tight clothes or clothes that are too big, the 'baggy' fashion style just looks scruffy and lazy, and like Jennifleur says very few people can pull off the skin tight look, and those that can still look better in not so tight outfits.

Matthew only says this because he thinks he looks better than anyone else in his own skinny jeans, thereby wanting to discourage anyone else from wearing them. :) Just kidding!

I love a wide variety of styles, from preppy to alternative...

But I would have to agree that sloppy, or worse, unbathed, would be a definite turnoff.

More libel! :( why you pick on me!?!?! meanie!! :)

Truth be told my issue with skinny jeans goes to a simple question of comfort, how any man walks around in them is truly beyond me, the one time I tried tight denim I was just praying I wouldn't sneeze and be sliced in three!

Lol I have to admit, the first time I went clothes shopping with my boyfriend, he went straight for the beige section and I nearly gasped at this fashion crime. I HATE the colour beige. Reminds me of vomit. Strangely enough, he came out of the dressing room and I realised I loved him and how awesome he looked in beige.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder lol. I myself will still never be caught dead wearing beige.

My clothing style is as long as it's clean and fits properly I'll wear it... And I'd expect someone I'm with to do the same, matching doesn't matter as much as the others

I am always worred about what guys think of my clothing style. I do not have alot of money to spend on name brands. I am definitly a shopper, but I do not get wrapped up in picking a specific brand. I buy things that I like and fit my style and personality.

Hehe...I try. ;)

Buckeyegirl, I guarantee you, unless you're dressing sloppy in overly baggy clothes, they're not that concerned with what you are wearing. I've seen emo girls, athletic girls, fashionistas, preppy girls, and just "plain Janes" (in reference to their styles) find a guy who was interested. Many guys will tell you that anything that anything that really enhances your figures (read: makes you look like a woman, and not a teenage boy) is nice, such as bootcut or slightly flared jeans. Many of them think high heels are stupid, and I'm in agreement - they're hard to walk in, and can really mess up your feet if you wear them long enough. Though, most guys won't argue against wearing a dress. ;)

I do not dress in overly baggy clothes. I definitly dress like a lady. I try to dress modestly.I do not like wearing clothing that is skimpy, revealing, or innapropriat. I do not like high heels. I hate the feeling that my feet are cramped up in a tight show. My best friend wears heels every day. I am talking about the spiky stilleto type heels. She said her feet has been messed up because she has wore them so long.

Oh crud.

There goes any chance of mine in getting a date with Zeroturbulence.

Is it possible to pout without while wearing leggings but no pants?

*JUST KIDDING!!!*

I wear a white T-shirt and Blue jeans EVERY DAY. If I am at home... White T-Shirt and Pajama pants. It's nice. :DDDD

I don't care so much about what other people where, as long as its modest, and their pants aren't on the ground.

Name brands like, American Eagle, Hollister, Ab & Fitch... are a bit of a turn off, because money could be spent buying the same clothing, at a lower price, with the same quality.

I'm just cheap. I'll invest my money elsewhere.

Nothing wrong with cheap, groomed, and clean.

The homeless look, however, might be a problem if someone were sporting that...
