steph,

Thanks for the kind note, but you need that money for a rainy day! :D
Maybe it was a way for God to get us closer to HIM?
Yeah, Max helped to clear things up, when things were confusing.
When things are good again, you have more things to laugh about right?

Ahh the mysteries of God, somethings I think we will never know this side of heaven.
Hardship definitely makes you very very aware of your reliance on God and the lack of your own strength.
Yup so looking forward to those good times, bring em on.

Yes, bring them on! Good times are coming, just wait steph!
So ready to turn the page, I just don't want to reread the same book in a year or two. lol

This is a verse the seoulsearcher puts on her footer..

Proverbs 4:23
Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it.

I also read that, if you don't open up, than no one will come in...not a quote from the Bible.. Love is risky business though... Just think of all the people that haven't accepted Christ in the past, and all people that will not in the future. The loving God bleed for many that didn't care. I'm thinking there is hurt there....It's a guess..Who knows for sure, but love is risky and painful. Christ showed true love and it cost HIM death. So, this love thing is not for the fainthearted or weak minded.

We just have to keep walking and looking up I suppose. Trust

Reread the same book, yes can relate to that.
You're so right about cost of love.
I had an old friend whos now at home with God who told me about this amazing love he had for his wife and she then died.he said
"With great love also comes great sadness& pain".
If you are going to love deep and open up your heart you will inevitably suffer the flip side too.The only way to avoid that is to shut your heart down and not care about anything, but thats not living.
God Bless

Steph the two options you listed would be a hard sell to some....

Box A

Be in love and have great sadness/pain.

OR

Box B

Not care about anything and have no life.

As Homer Simpson would say, DOH!

Is there a third option, please tell me there is?!?!

Oh hey kinda,
Sorry lost in translation! What he meant by with great love and great sadness is that if you truly love something/someone deeply at some point there is going to be equal heartbreak eg if they die, let you down, they're suffering etc.
So basically saying the depth to which you love/invest into something , at some point you can expect equal level of hurt or pain.did I make sense?!
