Hello everyone!

So as some of you know, I live in Paris. I met a man who was living here temporarily for work, and we hit it off right away. We went on plenty of lovely dates, talked a lot, spent so much time with each other. He even made me a playlist of songs!

He's older than me, has a good job, is intelligent and thoughtful and kind; he's everything I've been praying for, and I think it was love at first sight (at least on my part, anyway).

The problem is, two weeks ago his work called him back to England. I won't be living far from him when I'm back in England, but that won't be for another two months. We've been texting, but he's so busy with work that it's very infrequent and, although he said he wants to meet again when we're both in the same country, I'm scared that the loss of exposure (for lack of a better word) is going to make him uninterested and I won't see him again.

I don't know if I'm asking for advice or for your prayers that this man and I end up together. I honestly believe that God brought us together, but sometimes i just get so scared that this will be the end of it.

Well if he loses interest he isn't "the one". Sounds like you haven't known him long so perhaps you've invested too much too soon.
Lastly if the man is so busy he barely has time to Text then if you have a relationship with him, if you marry, are you prepared to be with someone who is never around? Don't think he'll change his work habits for you.

Two months apart is not too bad. I'll pray everything works out for you and that the months will fly by. Jacob waited 14 years for his Rachel.

Jacob married Rachel one week after he was tricked into marrying Leah.
He did have to work seven years for each bride, though, hence the
fourteen years.. but in the meantime, he had two wives :)

I met my wife years ago, we went on a few dates. We lost touch for over two years.I never stopped thinking of her. One morning I heard a voice tell me to go to her church. I went there two hours later. It was Sunday. I sat down half way toward the front. Minutes later, I had a feeling to turn around. I just stared at the door for half a minute. She walked in and we locked eyes. Six months later, we were married.

Is two better than one?

I thought when Laban said to Jacob he had to fulfill her week, it meant to fulfill seven more years before getting Rachel?

I see your points. It sounds silly I know, but there's something about him that I've never felt before. It was a 'click', you know? As for being busy, when we both lived in the city, he made time to see me whenever he could, so I don't think that's an issue. Thank you for your reply X

I thought when Laban said to Jacob he had to fulfill her week, it meant to fulfill seven more years before getting Rachel?
Jacob served the first seven years unmarried, under promise of being wed to Rachel, but was then tricked into marrying Leah, after which he agreed to work seven more years for Rachel, yet was wed to Rachel the following week...

Laban had two daughters: the name of the elder was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel.

17
Leah was tender eyed; but Rachel was beautiful and well favoured.

18
And Jacob loved Rachel; and said, I will serve thee seven years for Rachel thy younger daughter.

19
And Laban said, It is better that I give her to thee, than that I should give her to another man: abide with me.

20
And Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed unto him but a few days, for the love he had to her.

21
And Jacob said unto Laban, Give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in unto her.

22
And Laban gathered together all the men of the place, and made a feast.

23
And it came to pass in the evening, that he took Leah his daughter, and brought her to him; and he went in unto her.

24
And Laban gave unto his daughter Leah Zilpah his maid for an handmaid.

25
And it came to pass, that in the morning, behold, it was Leah: and he said to Laban, What is this thou hast done
unto me? did not I serve with thee for Rachel? wherefore then hast thou beguiled me?

26
And Laban said, It must not be so done in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn.

27
Fulfill her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years.

28
And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also.

29
And Laban gave to Rachel his daughter Bilhah his handmaid to be her maid.

30
And he went in also unto Rachel, and he loved also Rachel more than Leah, and served with him yet seven other years.

Fear is of the devil, and is not of God... if it's God's will for you two to be together then this guy will feel the same towards you.

So, do yourself a favor and cast your cares upon the Lord knowing the He cares for you.

Getting in to worry and fear is a good way to not only lose this guy but to open the door to attacks of the enemy, so be sure and take a chill pill at your very earliest convenience!

Making tome when things are new is not the same as being together years. People who are in new relationships, or getting close to being in one, do not act the same as they will a year later. The first 6 months your brain is full of endorphins, happy chemicals in your brain. People are nicer, more patient, more flexible and more willing to go out of their way for the other. Once the enorpnines wear off people go back to acting like they did before.
So, again, you can't judge person's behavior in the future by the first fee months of romance.
Also clicking isn't a huge sign of anything, really. I've has it happen multiple times, and yet I'm still single.
This guy may be good for you, not trying to say he isn't. But you would also benefit greatly from looking less through endorphin filter emotions and be more objective.
