I don't know anything about grapefruit from Alabama, but I can tell you this --- there is a grapefruit from South Texas ( that has a pretty [ somewhat ] deep red color inside ) that is [ by far ] the best grapefruit I have ever eaten in my entire life!

Contrary to popular belief, everything in Texas is NOT better. Everything from Alabama is far better than anything from any other state. :) That's why the song is "Sweet Home, Alabama". Everything is sweeter here.

No need to apologize --- all are welcome... :D
I'm just trying to see how long I can keep Galatea amused... :D

It is adding something nice to my day that she would allow me to pick 'n tease with her a little bit. I did not go to work this morning -- I woke up with a severe [ -enough ] headache and stopped-up head. The last half of the bowl of soup I am trying to eat was / is cold because the headache is so distracting...

It is not every day I get to do this with such-a-sweet-girl-from-Alabama. ;);)

( I wish I felt better. ( In time... In time... ))

Galatea:

"Thank you, honey - I appreciate 'ya!"

Besides --- I need a less painful distraction to occupy my time today...

Voice-from-the-left:

"Where did Galatea go?"

Voice-from-the-right:

"She went to get some grapefruit..."

I know you are just kidding, Miri; however, I have an idea...

All:

I will explain why I am doing this in a later post, which I will get posted just as soon as I can.

At this point, I want to continue with a modified form ( seven words to match the current word count ) of Miri's sentence:

Everyone is a fruit and nut cake.

As of post #234, slave had it last ( post #224 ) with:

Jesus' Red is the best, sweet news

I thought "long and hard" about this - because I did not want to offend slave by trampling on his word selection and sentence effort - but, "in short order" - because I felt I should do this now very quikly.

slave:

While it is true that none of us should ever be ashamed of the name of Jesus - and, I can see clearly that your sentence intends to honor our Lord by virtue of "Jesus' Red" - [ the shedding of ] His Blood - being "the best, sweet news" - the Gospel -- somehow I am still a little uncomfortable with us "throwing the name of Jesus around" in a thread that is, for the most part, supposed to be a lets-be-silly-and-have-fun kind of thread.

All:

No offense intended to anyone who has used the name of Jesus in this thread -- but -- considering the intent for the thread - don't you think it would be better overall for the thread if we "steered clear" of this? Maybe it is just me, but - I am thinking we have done way too much of this already.

So -- do you think we could stay away from too many 'God' / 'god' references - as well as 'occult' / 'dark' references from now on...???

Thanks.

Let's be silly and have fun with it...

I meant to also say that I feel "kind-of bad" about doing this now because the sentence that slave last posted is surely "the most honoring" sentence of all of the sentences in this thread that include the name of Jesus.
