What was the last movie you watch, and what impact did it make in your life if it did make a impact in your life. I know there was a couple forums or threads like this, but this a bit different I think. I finally got to watch God's Not Dead 2; it was interesting a teacher was fighting for a right to mention Christ. Another movie I finally got to watch was I am not ashamed, I am not ashamed kind of affect me more because it tells you or ask the question are you will to stand your ground no matter what for Christ? Some of these movies ask are you basically going to say Sorry for what you believe in or stand by your faith?

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

Hmm impact.. What impact... I've got nothing.

The last movie I saw that I could say had one was Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. There's nothing wrong with being different. ;)

The last one I saw in the theater was the Smurf movie with my sister and nephews and niece. The movie itself didn't have an impact on me, but I liked being with them and listening to their opinions. My ten year old nephew said it was better than he thought it would be, lol.

I just saw the one right before that. Totally and completely brainless. But fun.

It's nice to watch something without a political agenda.

Flywheel. It's a good Christian movie... Didn't have much an impact this time around as I've seen it many times. However, I was reminded of the good Christian lessons in it.

I watched the newest Transformers movie the other night (the last knight). It was ok...not terrible, not great. Mark Wahlberg was the best part of the whole movie. Everyone else needed acting lessons (except Anthony Hopkins).

I've hated all the Transformers movies but have also watched all of them almost as a compulsive habit. The only parts I like are when the robots transform, and I did like that you got to see just a smidgen more of the Dinobots in this movie.

Sir Anthony Hopkins was hilarious in this movie:

Butler: "Agnes called... She wanted to know if you might be available for a bit of a snuggle tonight."

Sir Anthony: "I will never snuggle with Agnes!!! Do I LOOK available??!!" (as they're trying to avoid crashing while swerving around cars in a high-speed chase.)

That line cracked me up.

I'm usually not interested in dating much-older men, but i have to say... That Voice. That Accent. That Piercing Stare. ("Are the lambs still screaming, Clarice?")

I might just have to make myself available if Sir Anthony ever called me for a bit of a snuggle.

I liked the baby dino transformers. And yes...watching them transform is the best part! I just wish they would have a ferrari transformer. I thought the cop car was cool but why did it have to be bad?! :( I guess its a political thing.

A ferrari would be cool, but you know why I don't like the movies?

I grew up on the original 1980's cartoon (every day after school!), and the thing I loved so much about it was the very fact that most of the Transformers in that show WEREN'T flashy or super expensive vehicles. I loved it because I felt like ANY kid, even ME, could pretend that maybe, just maybe, MY family's humble old station wagon just MIGHT BE an Autobot in disguise!! :D

And in the original cartoon, the humans, Sam and Spike, were normal, everyday, blue collar workers (I remember one episode where a main character was a kid in a wheelchair.) In that show, the Transformers Universe that had a little bit of room for everybody--any kid could pretend something around them might be a Transformer-- and not just the exceedingly tough, good-looking, wealthy, or supposedly important people, which is what the movies are made of. (I realize that's a necessary formula for a blockbuster movie, but it doesn't mean I have to like it.)

I also hate all the stupid, crass, totally uncalled-for humor in the movies, because another thing I loved about the Autobots... was that they always had CLASS, which is something the movies are completely devoid of.

(I will, however, admit to getting a little choked up when Bumblebee told Optimus that he would "lay down his life" for him in this last movie.)

And I totally agree with you over being pretty shocked--and disappointed--when the cop cars all turned out to be bad guys. :(

I just looked up the Transformers animated series. It was from '84 to '87... that's why I don't remember watching it much. I was too busy growing my hair, listening to heavy metal and trying to be cool while cruising the local mall with my friends in their muscle cars... :p I couldn't tell you much about Transformers, but I could tell you what a rat motor, small block, big block or hemi engine was and how to tell a 69 camaro from a 68 or 67.. and glass packs and cherry bombs and mag wheels lol.

Lol... You were a lot cooler than me, Zero. And I'm sure you still are.

I have to confess, the only reason I even went to see the first Transformers movie is because at the time, I was writing and visiting a couple of prison inmates, and one of them asked me if I'd go see the movie and tell him about it, because he associated the Transformers with his childhood and a time before he fell in with the wrong crowd.

I usually won't spend the money to see a movie in the theater, but I did this time because he had asked me too. I sent him my movie ticket stub, along with my "review", and unfortunately, have been following the franchise ever since. :( Years later, he happened to call me--while I was standing in line and waiting to go on the newly opened "Transformers" ride at Universal Studios.

I still keep in touch with that person... and fully blame him for my movie-watching demise. :p

I watched Alien: Covenant and Guardians of the Galaxy 2 last weekend. Those are hours of my life I will never get back. Oh, and I also watched the new re-re-re-reboot of The Mummy. Festering pile of suck.

I'm almost 10 years older than you so I was already attending a small college and you were still in grade school. That's why I never really got into them but I did think they were cool. :) I always thought Optimus was an awesome character.
