I said deep freeze. It already gets really cold here in the winter, so I guess you could say I'm used to it.

Me too. We actually had one over our house and didn't realize it was right above. Things on the ground were spinning but we thought it was just wind.

It tore the canvas off our motor home. Knocked down trees and branches.

And we have a sink hole. Our mailbox sunk to the ground and we had to move it.

So I just chose those I already live with.

Active volcanoes- Hawaii!!!! Mt. Kiluaeah is a shield volcano, so plenty of time to get out of the way.

Eh? None of the above I think!!
I do think in earthquake areas they should install handles into the ground so one has something to hold onto during an earthquake!

"If you had to live where there are natural disasters... which one would you pick?"

I live in the good old United States of America.

And while I'm glad and grateful to be here...

It kinda seems like our whole political system is a natural disaster, if that counts.

(Maybe I'm just getting old and fretful. But I talk to God more about our political system than I ever have before.)

I have always wanted to, as well. In Hawaii, you can get up close and personal with Mt. Kiluea. I watched a program today where guys hiked the volcano, really neat. I have added this to my increasingly long bucket list.

Uh, I think I'd go for deep cold. Cold weather suits me.

I do have a strange curiosity about earthquakes though and would like to experience one. Same for volcanoes if I could see one pop at a safe distance.

Lol, Skydiving is at the top, or should I say bottom. I've wanted to for a LOOOOONG time. It's something I feel I need to do, I don't know why.

How does next Friday work for you? I have always wanted to do that too. I guess, I should plan on crossing riding on a plane off first, cause it's kind of important for skydiving lol

Hehe, I just picked the ones that I live with. Floods and deep freeze. I know I'm boring, but I'd prefer to stick out what I know than change it for something (possibly better) that I don't know how to handle. I only have one question, are deep freeze and extreme heat natural disasters??

I have to work Friday! BLAST. Riding on a plane is nice, the first time I rode one, my stomach churned- but it was great the second time! I would say definitely sit by the window if you can, it's great to look out when you depart and land. The worst part was the delay, and taking off was a little weird at first. If you are nervous about it, you can take a "little somethin' somethin' before you embark. :)

I think they can be if they kill enough people. I remember one summer when a bunch of people died from the heat. They were mostly elderly. I think older people don't get bothered as much by the heat so they don't feel like anything is wrong until its too late.

Oh, here is an example...

Volcano .... they tend to make disaster happen less frequently than heat/ cold and storms.

We do get some landslides here (well, not exactly where I live, but overall in Noway),
most of the time there is "just" material damage. ... but people can loose their homes.
(and some are stupid enough to rebuild at the same spot, below a steep hill of mud and stones and next to a river *sigh* )

I used to live in Hong Kong. We always got typhoons there. They don't really bother me much though. So you probably know which one I picked.

For real! Tornado chasing is the best!

Of course there's always somebody out there doing it wrong...
