Chatting with my mum about certain things and she says "That's your age. Its called mid life crisis".
I said " But I dont own a motorbike or a Porsche?" (Neither do I have the money to get one of them, preferable the Porsche in yellow please!)
I never knew mid life crisis was something else entirely!
How to deal with such? Well. I know what it is!
God can pull me out of it. :)

I will pass on the same advice that I remember reading on some resource about dealing with burnout: Don't do anything foolish, Don't do anything foolish, Don't do anything foolish.

Also, don't make any rash decisions based on emotion, especially decisions you'll be paying for for years to come (like buying a new porsche).

I've been on no income the last two years (Except the odd gift so I can keep the car running) so we can survive! (Without a means to being back ones shopping home it is difficult). So as attractive as a Porsche is, I will pass on that one for the moment! :DD To behonest, though they are lovely cars, after trying one my brother bought but never got on the road, the one he had was no better then one of the old Volvo 360's, and the Volvos were similar underneath having a rear gearbox and front engine, and the Volvo seemed more agile. There again, Volvo suspension was designed by Porsche. Shame they didn't get the anti roll bar right.... Not tried a rear engined Porsche though. Would be nice but totally impractical for my needs...
No. I will stick to the old car I have. A nice old rear wheel drive Volvo. :)
God is in charge! He supplies all my needs.

I never really understood what a mid-life crisis is supposed to be anyway.

What am I supposed to do in order to qualify as having one?

Should I suddenly spend lots of money on lots of ridiculously flashy things, invite myself to all the wild drinking parties, and start dating a 19-year-old? All in an effort to "reclaim my youth"?

Sorry... but I never did those things when I was young, either.

I definitely don't see a need to start now.

I thought it meant that but apparently not. It is more being stressed about things and not coping with the little things one used to do without thinking about them.
Where the big motorbike or the Porsche came in I've no idea! I guess it was the rich peoples way of stress relief?
