But I suppose it would only be creepy if I actually gave the pillow a name (like "George") and drew a face on one end (and then fixed it up with a wig.)

Not that I've ever contemplated doing that or anything.
"George" will have to do since "Wilson" was taken a long time ago. :p

A few of the responses on here (relationships with laptops, phones, etc.) remind me of the movie "Her". I haven't seen it, but the trailers look interesting.

I've had 3 relationships that I would count as true relationships. I married two of them and the third I would have married but it just didn't work out, however, we did have a daughter together. Two of the relationships lasted over 6 years and my current relationship is on going and hoping to end my lifetime in a together married state....

Dated many more - more than I can remember or count but that was the proving ground to me.

My relationship with lasagna started when i was just a kid. Despite everything that's happened throughout the years, our relationship is still going strong! The only real complaint that I have is that we just don't spend enough time together... :D

* What is your personal definition of a "real" relationship, or at least, one that you would "count" as qualifying for this poll?
It's a real relationship when you announce it on Facebook. Apparently Facebook defines relationships.

"So is this it? Are we a couple now?"
"I don't know. I like you, and hanging out together is nice... I just don't know."
"Well... will you be my It's Complicated on Facebook?"

"Yeah I would have broken up with her last night but my internet connection was down."

(Here's the webcomic I just copied all that from.)

I'm almost 30yo and I've had 2 relationships; one with a non-believer and one with a believer. Both ended very sad, but I did learn about the prevalence of temptation and how consuming and devastating it can be. Those who make an intentional effort in fighting temptation everyday, I hold in high esteem.

You're toooo funny !

The above lasagne (not lasagna) are made with ricotta cheese.

Ever have them with besciamella sauce?
(in place of the ricotta mixture)

Try it.

How about with some fried up sausage in between layers? Sprinkle it on.
How about with some swiss cheese and besciamella?

It'll look more like this: Flatter and cheesier...

:)

A "real" relationship begins when I pass a girl a note that says, "Will you be my girlfriend? Check yes or no."

Ive been in two relationships.

One was with someone who lives near me, in the same town I live in. It was a really weird time in my life though, and I dont like to think about it too much.

The other was with someone online, they live in the same country as I do, but in a different state (east coast). We arent together anymore due to changes in my lifestyle, but were still close friends and talk daily.

Weve met several times since weve met, too. As for online relationships, I believe they can be valid as the one that Ive had, I had strong feelings for. I spent most of my days talking together online and like finding games to play together and junk. And we did end up meeting, too. I count them as "real" relationships.

You've tried it all !
Maybe you could write a book =??
I'd be interested in having more detail...
LOL
I came, I saw, I shrugged, I left.

That encompasses my journey through the minefield of relationships.

I've had... 2 serious relationships....

The first one was my first love when I was 18-19... and he was my "everything" till 3 months into the relationship... and figured out he was two-timing me... jerk.

and the second is my current husband. Been together for almost 10 years and he's all I've had since I was 20. Aaaaaaand... with a baby on the way. ^_^

sorry for rubbing that into anyone's wounds or broken hearts... but if it's God's will... it will be done. I've also almost left my husband but I stayed put. The lord promised, and I'm still here :)

I'm starting to think women are evil and they always complain of being cold because they have ice water running through their veins.

There are a lot of people here who absolutely hate the opposite gender (I've stood on the cliff of that feeling many times over the years myself.)

I know you're going through a lot, but I'll keep praying that you don't become one of them.

I would have gone that route too if it weren't for some really Godly, patient, good-hearted guys who kept showing they were different... Including many who are on this site (through both conversations and their posts.)

Hang in there, Tommy. I pray God will put people of both genders in your life to care for you and get you through these jagged times.

Here's something ironic- girls are more likely to feel cold, physiologically speaking.

But they are also more likely to survive exposure to low temperatures.

Shouldn't we be the ones complaining. I mean we have a higher chance of dying...

Huh...

My problem is, I love women too much. The one I married for life, broke me.
