I was wondering how many of you awesome singles can relate, especially those who are over 30. No offense to you younger people, it's just that seeing most others your age married with kids, some with teenagers, sometimes makes me feel like the "odd ball out." I truly believe God has a wonderful man for me and that maybe it's taken me a little longer to prepare for him, as God has been shaping my character and getting me ready to have both a strong, healthy marriage as well as ministry together. I'm trusting the desires of my heart to God, but sometimes it's just hard feeling so "different" from the status quo and from what society views as "normal." Any helpful thoughts on the subject would be welcomed. In His peace.

As much as I'm not over 30, lots of my friends are married and have children so I can relate to that aspect. But I would rather wait a long time to find the right person, then to choose the wrong person to be with. Singleness is a season in my life that I'm totally embracing, could be because I've been in nothing but serious relationship after serious relationship ever since I was a teenager, but I’m finding that the freedom is a beautiful thing. But again I'm not over 30, so my situation might be different to yours. I guess I just wanted to encourage you, screw what society thinks is normal lol I’m sure your prob a strong beautiful woman of God, and that is something rarer than diamonds. uh I hope thats ok to say screw in a post lol *worried face*

nothin odd about you Twilight,I am 44 and single. While I have been married before.I have discovered that without God in it,It almost NEVER works out.
Keep your virtue and testimony and wait, see what God has for You! Be strong, sis and eventually You will find an awesome Man of God to share the life that God wants you to have having chiildren is a gift from God,so don't worry-God will give that to you when HE feels you are ready.Don't rush it,there's nothing wrong with you and you aren't the "odd man out"..I have been without a spouse since 2006,and i'm not in any hurry,as I am able to focus more energy on the things of God in My life.

I'm not over 30, but I am 27 so I'm pretty close to it. :p A lot of my friends are married and the ones who aren't are very close to getting there, and I've never even been on a date. So believe me, I understand the "odd ball out" thing! You have more confidence in meeting someone than I do though--everyone always quotes the "desires of your heart" thing at me, but I've had plenty of them go unfulfilled and I guess I just feel that sometimes our desires don't match what God desires for us.

When you look in the dictionary for the meanin of the word odd-ball, you will find my name and picture beside it.

In fact I invented the word, and all others have followed me in its usage!!!!!

You guys bless me. Thanks for your encouragement and honesty. I guess it's okay to be the odd ball. God uses odd balls. This is my greatest desire, so as long as I'm chasing after His will.... Like the verse at the end of your post, Godsbluesman: "...and all these things shall be added unto you." Luv ya all!
