I know almost nothing about men. I have a sordid past and warpd my take on them.

while some can say don't judge, I still want to know what they are about and how they think and operate in general.

If anyone knows of any good books or material please do let me know..:D

Not "act like a lady, think like a man"

Thanks

What do u want to know about them? Generally speaking, a lot of them are spoiled little boys in grown men's bodies, but there are those who are mature and true gentlemen, but the trick is to be able to spot the difference...

....and maturity has nothing to do with age..

This Pastor is very funny, but more than that he has so much truth that may enlighten you to how men think. If you like it, check out some of his other stuff.

I guess it would be anything. I have all gay men on my mothers side and I don't know my dad or his family. Watching regular interaction between men and women in regular relationships is something I haven't had.

I guess it's too much for a quick conversation because Ive missed out on a lifetime of observed positive behaviors for association purposes. When i see a man do something I assume it's negative because it is all I know.. Perhaps my past would aid for insight but thats too much for an open thread. Let me tell you, that hasn't gotten me very far

Ive had too many for entertainment and not enough with honor.
Women are like spaghetti and men are like waffles in the way their minds are wired.

Some men will go stir your heart for their entertainment but will not take responsibility for the mess they create. But only few are men of honor who will protect your heart and it's not easy to find them.

Of course here's more to it than that... There are some men who are married to their jobs (have little or no time for a wife or family)...There are some who are controlling and abusive, some who feel their wife should be like their servant and their maid, some who have affairs, some who are obsessed with their hobbies, sports or video games, some who get very jealous, some who take women for granted, etc...

But I'm not any of those of course...

of course...

but for the normal men who have watched good men be good men.. and chose to do likewise.. I have no idea what their normal behaviors are.

In my experincessss when a man says hes not telling anyone about us, it was because I was predetermined to only last so long so no biggie.. But in the thread about announcing I read most of them wouldn't say anything. It has been a red flag for me all this time and it didn't have to be.

Doubtful I can give you a good answer. All I can give is my experience, which is warped due to my own personality, biases, and beliefs.

To change the gender on a saying:

"You can love men, or you can understand them. If you understand them, there is very little about them to love."

Thank you for posting anyhow.

It would be interesting imo to go through an unwarpping process. Challenging no doubt but Id like to choose with a clear view.

Sorry to hear about that. Don't worry too much about it. Life will go on. Think of those men as just merely acquantances. Just be careful next time. When a man cannot respect your boundaries or if he throws a tantrum when you say no to something he wants, run fast so you will not become just another victinm. Hope you find an honorable man.

As a general rule, men are more logical and women are more emotional.

This is why they work well together and kinda suck apart. A guy's logic without a woman's emotional insight is cold, calculating and uncaring. A woman's emotion without a man's methodical nature is energy scattered to the wind. Together a man and woman have all the bases covered.

Mind you, I have never been married so I could be totally wrong. But this is what I have observed.

This is such a broad question, that is what makes it difficult to answer. As is the same with women, it varies from person to person.
I suppose one thing is there are Alpha Males and Beta Males.
Alpha males are the strong leaders, outspoken. They tend to be heavily into sports and competition. Athletes to CEOs. They are confident, decisive. These are the kind of men women think of as ideal, on the surface.
The downside to Alphas is they have higher rates of infidelity and abuse. More likely to be workaholics and controlling. And tend to be less understanding and harder to connect with emotionally.
Beta Males are typically quieter, less dominating. They tend to be more artistic and creative in nature, or can be the highly intelligent, nerdy types. They are also more in touch emotionally.

Naturally these are general descriptions and things may vary, but overall these are two types of men.

The mist important thing to keep in mind is that men are individuals. Some are dogs and others are great people. This is true for both genders. So the best way to learn is to look at each guy. I, so often on here, see genders painted with broad, negative strokes about things that isn't a gender issue at all.

My posts on here definitely show that I am scattered to the wind.

Would be nice to have some grounding

See how he treats strangers when you're out in public, especially elderly people. Announcing or not announcing shouldn't really mean anything one way or the other unless they want to be totally secretive, then that might mean there's someone else.

I basically think like a dude, so I understand a lot about them haha. I grew up with two brothers and I never really related with girls.

I personally don't know of any good books, but if I find one, I'll make sure to pass it along to ya!

All you need to know is:

Men never really become emotionally mature. Or maybe I'm just speaking of myself.

Thank you for your time to post.

It is a broad question that's why I am curious to see if anyone knows of any valid sourced reading material. Guys who were polled on certain topics or something.
