I was stuck in the office all day so no I didn't get to see the eclipse. But on the bright side I just saved a ton of money on my car insurance by switching to............... Statefarm. Fo reals. Oh, and I think I saw Elvis. :p

It was a big disappointment in Clearwater, Florida. I don't even think that the skies darken even a little even though the eclipse was at 81% totality. It would have been neat to be in an area with a 100% totality but I'm not sure it would have been worth the trip to drive hundreds of miles for a 2 minute event. There is another total eclipse in the US in 7 years but not the whole country will be able to see it. Perhaps I will try for that during a vacation of some sorts. God willing of course, as always. I will definitely wear those special glasses. Maybe I'll buy the T-shirt too and a visor.

Elvis? We have something to talk about later, don't we? Haha

I did not see it. But, according to my dad it started raining, Heavy, and got windy, during the the eclipse, then stopped after it was over. Clear skies the rest of the day. /twilight zone music plays

I'm in Kissimmee, Florida but I honestly don't have any idea if it was visible. It did get a little dark out but we're always having cloudy weather and rainstorms so I was assuming it was because of that. Btw, Elvis was spotted in Kissimme too. ;)

I don't know where you are but for me the sun was out all day...

ok... kidding aside, the eclipse happened from roughly 10:30am to 12:30 pacific time (I think its pacific time). How much of an eclipse you see depends on what part of the country you're in. The middle lattitude part of the country (middle part from top to bottom) saw the full eclipse.

I was on the road today during the eclipse. As Tourist described, it hardly even got dark, despite about the same degree of cover. I saw several people pulled over to watch it, but as I did not avail myself of appropriate eye protection, I figured getting home with my retinas intact was slightly more important than seeing the astrophysical event of the year. ;)
