I don't think Adam and Eve ever said their vows...

But then there wasn't much chance of either of them having an affair. =^.^=

... and all this time, I thought that the Bible began with God creating the heavens and the earth. I guess I spend too much time in the Bible Study forum.

It didn't talk about the divorce, alimony, and child support payments in between though. O.k. back to the Bible, I think it really starts off how sin happened, and what the answer is. To parallel, a son is betrayed my his own brother in Genesis, and the Son of God, who was betrayed by his own brothers, saves the world.

There was no mention of Adam asking Eve to be his wife or even a ceremony that was performed. Even Jesus coming for the bride there is no mention of vows exchanged between Jesus and the Church. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. In the end of Revelation there is a plea for Jesus to come soon.

Peace be with you my dear brother in JESUS' NAME.
Good morning.
What you said my brother is not true. The Bible does not begin with wedding and end with wedding as you said.

For it is written, "In the beginning GOD created the Heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1)." Also it is written, " The Grace of the LORD JESUS be with all the Saints. Amen (Revelation 22:21)."

My brother, anything contrary to GOD'S WORD is a lie. Speak the WORD only, it is the only TRUTH in the whole universe.
GOD BLESS YOU.
JESUS IS LORD.

Very interesting!

‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”…

(Mark 10:7-9)

Jesus' first recorded miracle in the gospel of John occurs at a wedding, where He turns water (used for ceremonial cleansing under the law) into wine. Wine is symbolically used as a place holder for the blood of Jesus, which now cleanses us, and the law has been nailed to the cross :)

He took the bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body, given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is poured out for you."
*
When you were dead in your trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our trespasses, having canceled the debt ascribed to us in the decrees that stood against us. He took it away, nailing it to the cross! And having disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

You reminded me of Lots wife "you talk like a foolish" or should I say religious nut.
There is a polite reply before your from someone else who said the same thing as you without any bad feelings.

I was replying to his post when I saw that someone else already said what I was going to say about the bible ending with a weeding with God as well or is it about the new heaven and earth. Then I saw your post and decided you should have the opportunity to come to your senses and read between the lines or slander me also. maybe you need that to feel better about yourself, actually I'm writing to defend the soul you slandered.

Nobody was slandered, except the person you have now falsely accused of slander.

Hi sister, I don't take kindly when someone sets themselves as judges of evil thought: a lie is with intent to deceive. There was no deceptive intent in creation beginning with a wedding, and ending with a wedding. Revelations implies this "And for Your pleasure we are created." It's written that those who teach will be judged more severely, let it be a learning experience for those who set themselves up as judges, I needed to affirm in no uncertain words that I stand with the man who began this post without fear of a lie. Also to clear up: Job did not sin in saying his wife talked like a foolish woman, not the same as calling a man a fool, agreed it's slander, so Magenta we are in agreement.

If this man gets away with saying we believe a lie without the people involved understanding what is going on it's reason enough to slander him, but its worse than that and I cant fix it.

Compare these 2 answers saying the same thing, the first with an open mind to learn and see differently: ... and all this time, I thought that the Bible began with God creating the heavens and the earth. I guess I spend too much time in the Bible Study forum.
The later having judged that we believed a lie: What you said my brother is not true. The Bible does not begin with wedding and end with wedding as you said.
"If any man thinks He knows he does not know as he should." If we think we know we stop learning.
What I was hearing sounded like a dictator saying we had to believe the word as he presented it or we were believing a lie.
This happens to be the mark of a cult, quite to the point of sounding like a religious nut.
We are not saved by understanding mysteries, "If I know all mysteries and have not Love I am nothing."

About creation beginning and ending with a wedding, Jesus is referred as the "Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." What was He creating that He had to die for? "We were in Him before the foundation of the world." He knew we would fall and had to take the blame before creating." A Loving creator would take the blame for His creation: Love to the point of folly for His bride, "The foolishness of God is wiser than the wisdom of the wise of this world."
"Husband's Love your wives as Christ Loved the Church and gave himself for Her...

19 years ago The Lord showed me that because of how religious I became He could not be any closer to me than He was.
I would try to fix people and it's been a long road to face the pride of achievement that kept me from being whole and learn to love people as they are without trying to fix them. Do you see why I said this man sounded like a religious nut.
He sounded like me back then.

Oh yay. Just what this thread needed, an "I'm more righteous than you are!" argument.

Le sigh.

I would throw in a juke just to complete the thread but the original topic already went there intentionally.
