I love trail mix. I'm also really hungry and haven't had lunch. So if you could make your own trail mix, what would you put in it? The possibilities are endless. :p

So here's mine...

Yogurt Covered Raisins
Chocolate Chips
Banana Chips
Raisins
Dried Pineapple
Pretzels
Peanuts
Almonds
Cashews

Get creative, I'd love to see some unique ideas. Maybe I'll even give them a try!
Food is the best.

That actually sounds better than any trail mix I would've came up with.

It looks like we have plenty of people already on the food planning committee.

I guess I'm going to have to think about things like transportation and entertainment (after all, if we're making The Ultimate Trail Mix, doesn't that mean that by law, we technically have to say we're going hiking or something?)

I'm thinking I'll need a motorized scooter... that has a fold-up, widescreen TV on the handlebars. (If you're extra nice to me, I might even scoot over and make some room on the seat.)

What?!! You don't actually expect me to WALK anywhere on my own two feet when going on a hike, do you?

And unfortunately, I don't have deep pockets like Justin Bieber so I can afford to have people carry me.

(Plus, it would take A LOT of people!!) :p

What's a trail mix?
It's an American invention whereby a person can snack in excess on multiple things at one time without "looking" like a gluttonous pig. It is not only very tasty, but it's psychologically satisfying because you can snarf a bag of trail mix and say "but I didn't have that much to eat today...just some trail mix".

My recipe:

A very large handful of trees
a wide variety of shrubs, bushes, grasses and forbs
Birds chirping and occasionally flitting within sight
the rustle of small animals in the underbrush
several rocky outcroppings
running water somewhere along the way
a bit of mist or gloom to add mystery and dampen sounds
a soft layer of moss and leaves carpeting the ground
insects humming (but not biting!)
a few flowers, waiting to be discovered
a full water bottle and a tasty snack
a decent pair of hiking boots
an amazing destination to make the trip worthwhile
and someone special to share it all with.

There... that mix should make a good trail!

I'm the person who picks the M&Ms out of the mix because let's be honest, that's the best part.

I should probably get outta this thread before I'm shunned. :p

Sounds like you're talking about Marguerite Falls!
