Why do some people feel like they are VIP? They feel so entitled. Like I am supposed to give them something or do something for them? Like I have to treat them when they can afford to pay for themselves. I don't ask them to treat me but they always want something from me. Well their VIP days are over. I am better off without people who are full of drama.

Road rage...why? Just why do people get so enraged ...so brave hiding inside a car behind a wheel. Fools

I've waited nearly 5 years for this day. The day my Shaelynn goes to Pre-K. What does my child learn of all things? What does she remember learning today? She ate lunch. She had pizza, carrots, dip, and other Vegetables! She also learned that they also get a snack. Today was milk and crackers! Does she remember her teachers name? No. Does she remember any kids? No. Lol. My kid already knows how to eat all day! Geesh!

I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE BRING OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES TO WORK. I got excited thinking they were chocolate chip.
Exactly! Chocolate chips are meant to be in cookies, raisins are meant to be in cute cardboard boxes! :)

It's about the worlds best cake lest it be a whole piece or just a crumb and spoonful of heavenly buttercream...never one morsel delivered...not even a whiff...yet was promised to a very sick 46 year old woman...it must be lost n another thread somewhere...:(

This is the pressure valve thread where you blow off some steam. For example, you know that one coworker who is always standing around NOT working? This thread is for you to post what you really want to say to him, but you know you shouldn't say to him.
ATTENTION COWORKERS WHO DON'T WORK: Saying "That's not my job" doesn't get you anywhere. If you're on the clock, guess what... it's you're job! It's my job too, but I'm running my butt off and you're playing on your phone.

I get so incredibly tired of hearing "That's not my job." If you have to have your job strictly defined for fear you will accidentally be doing somebody else's job, you need another job, preferably one far away from here.
I can tell that you are a good and honest worker... and I would like to say that your company should really do something about the number of lazy, incompetent people working there. I don't know if its systemic, but I have a feeling it is because at least half the time I go to one of your company's establishments I get carpy service :p :p. And it doesn't matter which one I go to, although there is one that is consistently good, and it happens to be in a poorer section of town too, so maybe my theory that the hardest working people are the poorest people is valid... but I digress...

Just yesterday i was at one of the other locations and I ordered a combo and the guy put my order in a bag that was too small so all my fries would spill out if it tipped over in my car...and he didn't give me my drink so I said "excuse me, my drink?" and he was walking away, gabbing at his coworker about something fun and of course didnt hear me, so I said it LOUDER and of course he was having so much fun conversing with his friend that he didnt hear me that time either... but one of the lady employees standing to the side heard me and tried to get his attention and the idiot STILL DID NOT HEAR HER. So she bent down and grabbed a cup for me.. and I thanked her.. That's just one example. -_-

Anyway...thank YOU for being a shining beacon of professionalism in your company! And that's my rant I guess..

Actually my fast food factory is one of the ones that is better run. If the runner (person who bags orders) had pulled that junk where I work he would have been corrected, like real fast. And you do NOT just blah blah blah and ignore a customer.

And they have been cutting hours for people caught looking at their phones all the time. They put up a sign warning that people who played on phones would get a lot less work hours on the schedule... and the ones who smarted off to the schedule manager about it were the first to get hours cut.

My rant still stands though, because in every workplace there will be a few.

The washing machine tried to eat my favorite sweatshirt!!! My favorite, best-ever, most comfortable sweatshirt. The one that has been with me through job changes, break-ups, moving, health scares - everything in the last like 7 years. It was all caught up in the stupid agitator-thing or whatever and I think I ripped it when I finally freed it. I just threw it in the dryer because I was too sad to deal with the damage....:(

Maybe if you toss a Bounce dryer sheet in with the shirt it will restore it. I started a thread a Laundry Mat thread a couple years ago dealing with such misadventures regarding laundry. Your mishap is a classic. :)

Thanks for the suggestion! Despite my initial panic, my sweatshirt made it through with only a tiny new rip. Thankfully, it is in pretty bad shape, so it just adds more character!:)

As the Vulcans say, "I grieve with thee." An old, treasured shirt will not last forever, but it is heart-crushing when it finally becomes too bad to wear in public.

It is! I'm in the bargaining stage now... "do I have to change, I'm just running to the Post Office?"... "how many people will see me if I just run in for coffee?"... "does it really look that bad?"

Rationally, I know how terrible it is, but I'm just not quite ready to part with it yet. :)

Believe me, I know what you mean. When you finally have to make the decision to throw it away, it's like having your old dog put to sleep. You can always get another favorite shirt and you can always get another dog, but it sure is tough. :(

Instead of staring at me like a deer in headlights while sitting as I do the work, you could help!(happened last time at work before end of shift person just sat there and wouldn't help instead someone who's job it was not, went and helped me)

Tell me about it,I like using my phone too,but work should be work,a break here and there is no big deal but using a phone for games while working is "distracting" one self from working, kind of wish the rules you posted would work at my job,not just part timers but full timers all slack off or do next to no work, and yet complain after having to do a little while I don't complain after having to do alot.

FINALLY!!!!! I REALLY NEED TO RANT!

Why is it so that guests think that looking on me with suffering eyes think it is OK to ask anything, and of course expect a positive answer. In my profile on Airbnb I say clearly no access to kitchen. No access to second floor.

Again there are people here wanting to use my kitchen. Because they have to eat, right? We have restaurants in this country. Even pizza, kebab and hamburgers. They are open. My kitchen is not.

OK. I said yes. They can boil their pasta. Didn't they get it when I said that access to kitchen was not included? Yes they did. Did they care? No they didn't.

Thank God there is a rant-thread! I should book mark it for a later occasion.

My NY Giants are freaking 1-7, why do we really suck so bad this year, it's humiliating now having to watch the Sheagles dominate the division

I hate when I'm sitting on the train, people try to squeeze in even if there is a little space between me and another person. All they do is make everyone uncomfortable for a period in time.

"Wow, a guy who cooks!"

"You're a guy? And you bake bread?"

Yes I'm a guy and yes I like to cook and I live on sourdough bread that I bake myself at home. And if you keep acting like that's so weird, you're not getting a crumb. You hear? Not ONE SINGLE CRUMB! So there. :p

I don't know why people act like it's so odd for a guy to cook. What am I supposed to do, live on those pot pie abominations from the freezer section? Food is a wonderful world to explore.

Right now, for example, I have a chuck roast in the crock pot. I opted for milk and cream instead of tomato base, with green beans, carrots and onions. Tonight we'll see how it turns out. I might add garlic, but I'm still debating that.
No matter what always add the garlic.
