The error you make, and refuse to acknowledge, is in saying people watch those shows for that reason, and as a result of that content, fall into sin. But you will likely continue on in your lies, false accusations, rationalizations, and projections. That is on you. May God have mercy on your soul.
Let me guess, you're the exception that can look at two naked people having explicit sex and it doesn't occur to you that you are viewing sexually arousing material. Come on.

I am not even sure if my previous list has any episodes with nude sex scenes. But just in case, I will make it short and say Muppet Show.
Oh, you didn't see the episode where.....

(Just kidding, lol)

Put '<insert name of movie here> IMDB Parents Guide' in a search engine and you can be informed ahead of time what is in the movie you want to watch. This makes it so there are no excuses for 'accidentally' stumbling into the filth that Hollywood pumps out for consumption by the masses.

As has been testified, it may be hard to change your habits, and it could get a little boring, but it's the right thing to do. Especially with Judgment looming just on the horizon for Western civilization. Be prepared, folks. Don't let Christ find you drunk with the pleasures of the world and asleep when he returns.

after a lot of thought, I gave up tv and movies a few weeks ago.
It was hard, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss it, or if I said I'm not curious about what's happening on shows I enjoyed.

to me it just doesn't feel right to continue supporting a toxic, immoral industry.
Great testimony, by the way. Believers can be encouraged by this.

Well you know the Bible does say the four most wonderful things to behold are the way of an eagle in the air, the way of a snake on a rock, the way of a ship in the sea, and the way of a man with a woman.

Just some food for thought, not trying to gang up on you. Just a little thing to ponder that came to my mind when reading over you and Magenta's fun little discussion here.

Proverbs 30:18-19

[SUP]18 [/SUP]There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not:
[SUP]19 [/SUP]The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid.

I watched War Horse this week. It was a wonderful movie, historical content and all (first world war era). As an animal lover, it was distressing in parts, and war is horrific no matter how you look at it; heartbreaking. I suppose watching people shoot, stab, bomb, kill, and torture other human beings is preferable to some (like PHart). I also watched Secretariat. It was based on fact, too. No nudity there, either, unless you count the horses being unclothed as a reason to watch the movie (as PHart does) and a temptation to sin. Sea Biscuit was another horse from history, post depression era; I watched that as well, all three sequentially. Do you know of any other inspirational movies like that?

My UNBELIEVER ALERT is going off full steam. You don't even seem to realize what you're doing, do you, lol? You're using all the unbeliever's tactics they use when defending themselves against the conviction of the truth.

If you want to use this as a rationale for watching naked people engage in explicit sex then go for it. You were warned.

I am talking about three movies I watched recently, none of which had any nudity in them. You seem to have a problem with that. I hope you feel convicted of your sins. There is hope for you yet.

I don't have any favorite shows as I rarely watch TV. I once went 5 years without even turning the thing on.

Well whether I want to watch naked people or not it doesn't matter, apparently naked people were watched in the Bible, though probably not in movies like we have now. Movies* as a broad topic is interesting, think about it, images that can move and talk.

EDIT: Movies and TV as a broad topic*

One Christian film I liked was A matter of faith. Miracles from Heaven is another one. Both are on Netflix. I guess PHart would approve on both those films, but it might be some theology questions in those, too, that you could get a hang up on.

Whether in a movie or in real life, watching naked people have sex is a sin. It's impossible to rationalize it. If you're sure it doesn't matter, go for it. You were warned. If you are so sure it's okay you'll drop it here and move on. But if you are convicted, you will continue to try to justify yourself in doing it. I know how this works.

I'm not here to make you stop what you're doing. I am here to convince people to keep this trash out of the Temple of God, his people. I seek refuge and comfort in God and his people. I absolutely hate it when people dirty up the sanctuary of God's people and his presence among us. It's so bad right now that it almost impossible to find a fellowship of true believers committed to the sanctity of God's people where one can find encouragement and godly, edifying, Spirit-filled discussion and fellowship. That can't happen where people are worshiping idols in front of their TV and computer screens in secret (or not so in secret). That's why the visible church is dead.

Starting at the age of 33, I lived for seventeen years without a television, and then when I turned fifty, I had one for a few years again, but then got rid of it about five or six years ago :)

Help me out here. How can a Christian think it's okay to watch Game of Thrones and Versailles?
Maybe it provides a certain measure of entertainment after a hard day. A means of escape from the cares of the world for an hour or two. Nothing wrong with that. I hope this was some help to you.

Dexter (TV Series 2006–2013) - IMDb

How is it that Christians can watch filth like this?????
What's the last "Decent" show you've watched?
Duh because we are "not perfect" and get "bored" just like non believers,Being Christian doesn't mean we are better than everyone else or that we are not going to at times seek to watch things like shows with intimacy, ridiculous circumstances,or fight shows and so on,what being a Christian means is that you strive to not "revolve" your life on such things,it doesn't mean you aren't allowed to still watch somethings you've liked in the past,it means you change how you feel towards some things, like for example I like inuyasha,a demon based comedy fight show with innuendo, does this separate me from God?
No because surprise surprise God actually realizes that we won't always talk all day about the bible each day,at times we get bored as in we get feeling tired spiritually and mentally, and so we watch tv or read a book,or go out somewhere such as shopping,God knows we won't do great for him every single day,at times we get burned out on talking on the bible somewhat, there is nothing wrong with that,I get your take on explicit content but ragging on someone for their choices in tv shows is rather petty and ranting, whoopee people watch tv shows, guess what people watched theatre before tv came along get over yourself, people have their own individual choices and it's not for us to bad mouth them if we disagree with their choices of entertainment,if you wanna do something "productive" pray for people instead of "pestering" people.

I will have to look into those. Thank you for sharing! :) A Christian movie I watched a while back that I really liked was called Do You Believe. I would highly recommend it :)

See post 88. I believe that you called her an unbeliever because she watched a few horse flicks. I enjoyed Sea Biscuit as well. Apparently, you're riding high in the saddle.
