"Before we come to the truth"? Sounds as if you have started this thread with a specific, hidden intention. Which I expected.
    Give me a new voice
Give me a heart for repentance and make it stay
    Cause I've idolized my words
    It's all my fault

I don't think there is really a "right" or "wrong" answer as to who should be the one to propose.

Friends of mine have proposed in all kinds of different ways, from a very traditional fancy dinner date, to moonlight cruises around the Apostle Islands, to sporting events (a female friend proposed to her husband during a hockey game - "I just realized I love you more than the Blackhawks; will you marry me?). Each story is unique, some are quirky, but each proposal reflects the couple, their personalities, and history together.

As long as the couple is in love, works together to be better versions of themselves, and shares the same faith beliefs, does it really matter who proposes?

See i would agree but i just dont think that it's that simple God wants the men to lead like Christ leads the Church it would be wrong if we were to reverse that. Now I don't want to condemn anyone but i think we should honestly look at Gods word and put it under that standard that's all im asking for not saying your ignoring it or anything i just dont want anyone to be doing things incorrectly if that makes sense

I respectfully disagree; in my life, I know many Christ-centered couples who have a marriage that is an equal partnership, so I believe that this issue should be based on each individual couple and not fall under a "rule" that everyone must follow.

thanks every body ones again for your wonderful contributions. May God bless you all. Please as we converse on this WHO IS TO PROPOSE bear in mind that the truth remains the truth. We are only touching those things that will try to hid or make the truth to remain the same. From the creation we will find out that God will to give Adam a wife which Adam nerve desire though he appreciated. he has no choice because eve is the only woman available then. So he has no choice and the same thing applicable to eve. The desire is not there for Adam. And we all know that desire lead to emotion which lead to our known love now. which force out PROPOSAL. So in this case it is God that desired (proposed) for Adam as well Eve. (if you in the spirit you will see a hiding truth in this short sentence]. IN ASSUMPTION IT MAY BE WHY ADAM SAID IT IS THE WOMAN YOU GAVE ME. Please let us not go deep in to this in other not to sin. Now in the case of boaz and ruth as contributed here. There are things involve. 1) obedient.2.) hardworking. 3.) desire. 4.) caring 5.) emotion and effort to accomplish all. From here now we will see that proposal first become emotional and only caring can bring it out. And this emotional today happen to both male and female. Our problem here is who is to expose it. is it the right of one or both. Please dont be tried to make you point. As you see it we are coming to the end. May the wisdom of God be your portion as you contribute. Amen.

I can tell you from my one aborted love affair, that women should never pursue men. It is backwards. It sure didn’t work for me. Now, I am alone again, naturally.

Well i never said they wouldn't be equal i said one would submit to the other via leadership that doesn't make it unequal cuz if it does that destroys the trinity.....i do agree that it should be equal but men have their roles and so do women assigned by God. If people don't like that i won't argue that's between them and God, but i also want to add that just because you know God loving people who do that it doesn't mean they are doing the correct thing....js not trying to disrespect anyone in any way

It’s alright. It’s not his fault he couldn’t love me. He did try. He told me he prayed to try to love me, but nothing doing. I think it must be fun for you guys to pursue. The thrill of the chase, and all that. Plus, you can make sure you are pursuing someone who is sane and not a total nut case, like myself.

Best wishes on your pursuits, have fun, the game is afoot and all that.

Ok well that kinda sounds like an excuse because love is more of a verb really it was a choice he didn't feel like it don't let him bring you down im sure you're great. But yea it can be fun to pursue chasing someone you like and getting good results feels great and all but its not that deep. And i wouldn't even say we pick i think it's predestined I'm not gonna end up with anybody unless God wants me to so even if she's crazy and i marry her well she'll help me be more Christ like, that is the goal of marriage anyways. And you're totally not crazy dont say stuff like that

    You don’t need to apologize.

I am a “foreveralone”. It is strange, but I am so constructed to only love one. There are people like me in this world. We get one shot at romantic love, and when it is ruined, it is ruined.

No one understands, I can not explain.

It’s just not vouchsafed for me. I’m reaping what I sowed.

Anyway, I wish you happiness, joy, love, peace, and laughter.
