Default Do you prefer a male or female boss?

When I was younger I was far more ambitious. I was a politician. I was the chairman in a political youth organisation, active on the student board, MDA association. I thought I was pretty good at leading people. Somehow the ambitions went from wanting an administrative position or to be head master or at least a head teacher, to being content doing what I was doing the best, teaching. That happened around the same time when I realized that it should be so that the man should be the head of the family.

I noticed I preferred far more male than female bosses when looking back at different jobs I have had. And now I wouldn't even apply for a leading position. Only if someone really asks me or if there are no better candidates. Yesterday a student said she thought I was a born leader. I was a bit surprised, because 10 years ago I would have really liked that comment, but now I just laughed and thought the whole idea was ridiculous. Is it God that has worked on me to become more humble? Or is it so that a woman's place is not to be the leader over men?

You keep on, the feminazis are going to put you on a cattle car.

I feel the same way about being a boss anymore. I don't have the ego for it anymore.

Ive had both great and awful bosses from both genders. So Ive come to judge on an individual basis.

That has nothing to do with my beliefs on who should lead a family btw. I do agree that a man should provide and protect his family, and with that his family should let him lead. But as for working for people, dunno. Ive had varied experiences.

Some people are just made to lead, and others arent. (I dont consider myself a leader at all)

It makes no difference to me as either way it's a position of authority.

I'm insubordinate to any boss, but in the last 20 years, the only positive experiences I've had with bosses have been with female bosses.

i prefer a boss that works alongside me when i'm overburdened, who will help shoulder the load rather than just order it to be carried in short-staffed situations.

I would prefer a male boss, one boss, and relying on Jesus Christ all the time to please Him in doing good on the job.

One of the best mentors and team leads that I have ever worked with was female.

To be a leader, you must be willing to set an example. That could involve dedication, self motivation, discipline and focus.

I don't really care if the person I work with is male or female. I don't believe it is about gender (or race or sexual orientation) but rather it is based on values.

If they are passionate and willing to work for the benefit of the team, that would be great. I would definitely seek positions of leadership based on my skill set and experience.

    He works alongside us

it was explained to me, that the way you train a young ox to work a field is to harness it with an older, stronger ox as it plows - so that the young creature gets used to the yoke, and gets used to the path it should take. when you do this, the young ox isn't actually doing much if any of the work - it's more or less along for the ride, being carried and kept in line by the elder, stronger creature who 'knows what he's doing'

that this is the implication of "
take My yoke upon you and learn of Me"

I've only had male bosses over the years. And I'm at a spot now where it's unlikely I'll have the chance to have a female boss. I've had mostly male customers too. But there have been a few female customers. Some of them were among my favorite customers. And some were just okay.

I've worked many jobs in my life and the best two bosses I ever had were female. They were always supportive and were never mean or raised their voice or expected the unreasonable. They also were nice and treated us employees more as fellow humans than as subordinates.

The worst bosses I've had were male... ugh!! They were not mean, but they were very neglectful and would often expect the unreasonable...and they were not grateful either.
My dad was the greatest dad I could have ever asked for. Thank you, Dad..
