Incidentally...that nightclub is now a Costco and the mall is the one where they filmed a famous scene from Back To The Future.... :rolleyes:

I think it's unwise to spend time at a place like a bar, and it's possible it will make him more lonely, but at times people simply need to be around others in any manner.

I actually thought of, when I"m alone alone, to put on a radio station that I can get that's talk radio so at least there's the noise of somebody talking which makes me feel like the house is not so empty. Probably get a cat too - or a dog - or maybe a duck. Having a dog and cat and duck that get alone would be good.

If the house is too silent I think it would make me start to think I hear things I don't (like somebody is in the house but they are not). Not good for my OCD. It was bad enough this mouse kept me up the other night.

there are lots of meetups in my area. What stinks is they are in the bigger cities where I have to drive 45 minutes at least to get to a meetup. Too bad there aren't more around me. Nobody is creative enough in the town I live in to make one. The only meetups they understand is "go to the bar and hang out" meetup.
