Where does courage come from when all you can see is trouble? When challenges surround you, pressing in on every side, where does your strength come from? The Bible says it comes from trusting God. No matter how bad those circumstances look, we can go straight to the Word and see what God says first, before we allow fear to overwhelm us. Just as faith comes from hearing and believing what God says, fear comes from hearing and believing the lies of the devil.

Don't give him your ear! Rather, stop him right in his tracks by declaring what God's Word says over your life and circumstances! Begin to see your situation just as His Word says it is. Then speak and act as though those promises are already yours. You do this by praising and thanking the Lord for His faithfulness and goodness and mercy towards you! This way, you will bring the devil's plans concerning you to an immediate halt! In Psalm 119:25, David cries out to God to revive and stimulate him, according to His Word!

David reminds us there will be times where our only hope comes from what God's Word declares Him to be. He is a wonderful Savior, full of mercy and mighty to save! The next time the devil tries to tell you God is not going to deliver you, just declare, with more confidence than ever, that He has already delivered you in the Name of Jesus! Then praise like you've never praised before, and see His Word do exactly what it was purposed to do!

For me, it's my wristband that I got at Books-A-Million that has Philippians 4:13 on it. I say it aloud all the time :)

Mine too. Idk how/why but ive never heard it sang in any local church here since i first heard it maybe on radio or some recording many yrs ago. When i am choir director (this is pangarap/wishful thinking, ok=), that would be one song we will be singing!

Such a fantastic piece. Do you what you can and leave the rest to the Lord. Be in peace knowing that He doesn't stand for injustice and will see right in the end in His timing. He's never early, but He's never late. The Lord does not approve of hypocrisy, when people go through the motions of worship and pretend to bring Him their best while they actually bring their cast-offs to His people. The christian who uses the veneer of public virtue to cover the sickness of their personal vendetta. You shall not sacrifice to the LORD your God an ox or a sheep in which is a blemish, any defect whatever, for that is an abomination to the LORD your God (Deuteronomy 17:1). God does not stand for false worship that speaks His word while violating its spirit. Bring no more vain offerings; incense is an abomination to me.

As Sirach 33 says The emotions of the foolish are like a wagon wheel, and their arguments are like a turning axle. The judgement of the Lord is cast on those who practice the ugly deeds of unrighteousness Paul explored. His judgment sees justice for those who condemn actions publicly while indulging in it privately. In challenging times, remember psalms 46:10 for that quiet but powerful reassurance: Be still, and know that I am God.
