Hey Everyone,

It's that time of year again! Single's Awareness Day is right around the corner.

Now I have to admit--I can be fairly sentimental at times, and if I had a sweetheart, I would probably take the time to make him a Valentine card using all those cheesy candy hearts with which I could express just the right amount of lovey-dovey-ness.

However, since I don't have a special someone, mercifully, I can go back to being my normal cold-hearted self and enjoy candy conversation hearts such as these:

A few others I've seen are:

* "Bring Me a Beer."

* "UR Mom Still Loves U" (But she dresses you funny.)
Ok, so I added that last part. Actually, for me, I probably WOULD be more stylish if my Mom DID, in fact, dress me.

* "Platonic 4-Ever."

* "UR Creeping Me Out."

And, my personal favorite: "Which 1 of My Personalities Do U Like Best?" (You'd need a really BIG candy heart to fit all that on it...)

So, without further ado...

* What clever saying would YOU put on a candy heart made for singles?

(And for the record does anyone even LIKE candy hearts? If so, what are your favorite colors/flavors?)

Personally, I've always thought they tasted like chalk and would much rather prefer Brach's cinnamon jelly hearts or chocolate (purchased on the day after Valentine's for 50% off, of course!)

* What is YOUR favorite kind of (anti-)Valentine candy and/or anti-Valentine's Day tradition? (I knew a girl in college who always got together with her friends and watched horror movies in which the bodies kept piling up... )

Well, that's one way to do it. What's YOUR way?

I love the new name...singals awareness day! How great is that!!! Lmbo
I would love to have a Godly single man to make dinner for.( Perhaps your favorite Seoul, meatloaf!!! Jk...Lol) Some good conversation and laughs...maybe some board games.
Some candy hearts on a chocolate/chocolate cake...his would say..."aren't you tired of being single"...and "she's the one"! Lol
It wouldn't matter what color or flavor...I just hope neither break a tooth, cause that'd put a real damper on things!!!

This is an awesome idea too, Mr. McGee!

Everyone, feel free to post about your favorite (and not so favorite) Valentine's Day memories or wishes (what kinds of G-rated things do you wish you could do for a special someone, etc.)

One year, I got my close friends their fave candy and a pin that said “I am loved.” Now that I think of it, I got nothing in return! Lol it’s ok though.

One Valentine's, my church's youth group was selling dozen-rose bouquets as a fund raiser. Not only were they really beautiful roses (the kind that comes with its own little vial of water and everything), but they were also at a really good price, so I bought a dozen and handed out single roses to all of the single people I worked with. I figured it would be supporting the youth AND cheering up other singles... WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG???

Well knowing my luck, something ALWAYS goes wrong, lol, and as fate would have it, one of the girls who worked that day (and was ENGAGED!) was VERY upset that she didn't get a rose. I kept trying to tell her, "But you have a sweetie to get you something for Valentine's Day, and we don't," and EVERY time she saw me give someone a rose, she would loudly proclaim, "I DIDN'T KNOW VALENTINE'S DAY WAS ABOUT DISCRIMINATION!" Lol.

One of the guys I gave a rose to told me, "If I were you, I'd watch my back when you leave today. She just might be waiting with an ambush in order to beat up 'the flower giver'..."

Thankfully... I made it through the day intact--and even had one rose left to take home for myself. :eek:

Hello SeoulSearch, ;)

Candies... what to put on it?? let me think... Well, in Proverbs it says , You can inherit the house and wealth of your parents but a wise woman is a gift from God.

I would rather bake a chocolate cake in form of heart shape and here is the pic below, then decorate it simply with ''cerise'' and put cream on the sides!!

hmm, well i do not celebrate Valentine day at all, really i don't :D, that is my anti tradition/

I would like to give my special someone gifts, it can be everyday and doing good to him everyday of my life would be my favorite way to honor ;)

Chalk is right... nasty hearts. My anti Valentine's message would be, and probably the one I would get from the girl I liked the most:
"Would you be my DD for the dance" or simply " Friend Zone"

This is the time of year I avoid church.

G-rated!? I have nothing now. Totally knocked the wind from my sails.

At this point, I wouldn't mind making a card with construction paper.... like first grade.

Haha - reminds me of my old best friend. He had a devious mind.

We were on a bus as kids and he ate a box of chocolate cookies in front of our rivals in the petty insult games of our squandered youth. He couldn't 'finish the last couple of cookies' and offered them to them. They were laced with ExLax ! They greedily partook - and spent a lot of time in the can later lol

See now Tommy, the G-rated disclaimer was just for you.

We just wanted to see if it was even POSSIBLE for you to suggest something G-rated! ;)

(By the way, you get a gold star.)

All right, I might open the floor to PG, and if we're feeling REALLY daring, possibly PG-13 (I think the youngest teens we've had in here are 15, so they should be able to handle it), but anything rated age 16 and above, and I'm sorry.

It just might be Das Boot for you. :(

Proceed with caution.
