For 2010 I have committed to an all year long fast off of dating!! Just to focus on me, myself and God ..yes I do get lonely. That's why I try to stay as far away as possible from Romantic movies lol otherwise I go nuts ..but'taaa in May I was starting to get doubt about my whole commitment, yuh know? Well I had it in my heart to read my Teen Devotional(which I haven't read in days) so I get to one of the pages I had missed and you would not belieeeve what it said! Blaine B.(the pastor who wrote the book) told a little story of how when he was 18 he too was tired of picking out all these girls(but for me boys) that in the relationships, never worked out. So the new year came around and he ended up giving that whoooole year to no dating! Well 6 months go by after he had completed thatpast year, and guess who he met Cynthia! Who is his wife today!! He goes on to say how perfect she was for him, how.. every little detail was exactly what he always wanted. After I heard that, I was goin crazy! It's amazing how when you put God first, He'll give you His best!!! Truly, too! Ah, Lord.. You're amazing.
So I encourage you guys to remember in your loneliest days, to put God first and just trust Him that He knows who is BEST for you! I did and I'm 15, so that means you totally can.
Paul does say that we are all better off single haha it's true.. but I've seen a relationship between a man and a woman that has such a love for God, and in each other, that they don't really worry about pleasing one another. I also have seen a relationship where it started out as one a Christian and the other not, which in a year turned into a trio including God! Both kinds of relationships can work, if you got the love of God and the steadiness, then just say, "Daddy, if I'm ready..send him/her my way!"
