A conversation about nothing in particular

He was my little Chihuahua. He was the only thing I got out of my disastrous first marriage many years ago. One weekend my ex asked me if I could watch our little dog for a couple days. I said sure. After the weekend she called and asked when I was bringing Yankee back. I told her that she had everything from the divorce including custody of our daughter. The dog was mine and I wasn't giving him back. She fussed and fussed but I didn't give a crap about her whining.

I had him for 12 years. He got cancer and was in a lot of pain. He spent the last night of his life sleeping on my pillow. In the morning he drank a sip of water from his dish and barked goodbye. Me and my dad took him to the vet. I couldn't bear to go in and watch so my dad carried him in. 10 minutes later he comes out carrying Yankee inside my pillow case.

I dug a grave for him in our favorite spot in our yard and lowered him into the hole. My whole family was there. I said a eulogy and shoveled dirt on top of the little guy. My dad cried and stayed home from work that day. I didn't cry but just felt dead inside.

This was in July 1992.

Yankee is in heaven right now looking for his daddy. When he finally sees him his little tail will be wagging and we'll have a good time then.

This made me sad, then happy.

I have lived mostly in the Northwest of America ... Seattle, Portland, Berkley California etc etc and many suburbs of Washington and Oregon. I love it here - so diverse. I also lived in Ohio, but the humidity there almost killed me. I was born in Idaho, but I was 2 yrs old when we left so that is but a lack of a memory for me. I also missed my parents living in Hawaii where my other siblings had adventures...what can I say, God is building my character in that regard...LOL..

I was on the coast of Orgeon for a time. Cannon Beach and Astoria are very picturesque. And right over the bridge into Washington was beautiful, too. Also went to Bend to visit friends. Lots of great memories.

Well HUFL, I guess Bella is really gone. When Sweetmorningdew said Bella unfriended her, I looked at my friends list and she was gone from mine too.

Yeah...didn't think Bella would leave on account of a question I have been asked if I was someone else and I didn't get mad I just told the person that I wasn't who they thought I was(the person said my humor was likened to someone they knew) of course now I feel a bit bad for even trying to discern similarities or differences,I guess sometimes it's best to not say "some things" even in speculation,I suppose I see her point of view.

I guess if there’s someone in here who is in contact with Bella offline to see if she’s okay, then that would be reassuring.

Before I started I sent a friend request to Bella and I accidentally unfriended Slave sorry about that Slave I sent a new friend request to you though strangely you are deleted from my friend page so it's kind of weird but you know how it goes technical stuff and blah blah blah....

Fiends once more! No, oh what a letter can change! Not fiends, but rather friends in Christ! I have even placed a hand-painted oil artistry sized - 20X20 on my wall, as my wall - just in case it happens again so I won't neglect noticing.. LOL.
