I won the bet! Of course the odds were 18 to 1 so the payout wasn't much, but a win is a win!

zeroturbulence: I didn't actually bet with anybody about anything. My statement was intended to indicate I considered it rather probable that you would not leave the forum.

First, and again, nobody placed any bets. Or at least I'm not aware of any bets being placed.
In most forums I have seen there is always a small group of people who will occasionally say they are going to leave, then return after a very brief time. In this forum zeroturbulence is part of this group. I have observed him leave and return multiple times. I even remember one thread labeled toodloo or something like that, where I read the thread title and made a guess that zero was leaving, and he said I was very perceptive.
So when zero said he was leaving again, I guessed he would be back soon. When it turned out I was right, I tried to make the observation that I had predicted as much, but I couched it in a jocular tone by phrasing it as betting odds. It seems this did not work out very well.
Again, to my knowledge no actual bets were placed. I was just making an observation that I had predicted to myself that zero would return soon.
