With all these threads about trying to meet somebody, I get the distinct impression you are very bored. If you have any musical inclination at all, I recommend learning how to make soundtracks in a computer. It's very simple, I could walk you through it easily. And it would be something to do that would be great value throughout life.

I love science fiction movies Star Wars, The Giver The Hunger Games. I read a lot of books. I'm trying to read all 20 Nicholas Sparks books by the end of the year. I just started the notebook today. What's your favorite book

My fave book? Oh man! I can’t pick just one lol. Right now, I’m reading a crime novel book. I left it at work though. I like Christian biographies, mystery, and true crime.

Welcome to CC, Sunday! :)

I'm a long way from Detroit, and I'm even farther from "metro" but I'm looking forward to the new Star Wars movie in a few weeks. How about you?

I'm a sucker for anything Nicholas Sparks LOL well that and sci-fi like I said I've always been unlucky in love so I guess reading love stories helps me deal with that.

Hi SundayMorning88. I used to live in Toledo, approximately an hour from Detroit. I've visited your city a few times.

I love reading about science (quantum & astro physics, geography, nature & the elements, etc), mysteries, adventure, poetry, plays, the classics. I enjoy watching a variety of movies: comedies, mysteries, adventure, and science fiction. Not into slasher films or weird satanic crap.

You said you're reading The Notebook? That was an excellent movie, starring James Garner. I didn’t read the book though. Books always seem much more enjoyable than movies, don’t you agree?

I’m not really into the romance genre. When I was younger, I would get really depressed after watching a romantic movie because I was mega single. So I avoided them so I wouldn’t get depressed. Lol.

When I was very young, I read HG Wells' "The Time Machine" and was captivated by his enchanting writing style and the fantastic futuristic story. Since then, I've seen a few movies based on the book and I was greatly disappointed. All the thrill, mystery, and intrigue of the characters were lost in the hyped-up films, ya know?

If anyone would like to chat
Message me
I grew up in Hazel Park on Nine Mile Road. Detroit starts at Eight Mile Road. When the economy went south in the 80's I relocated to Orlando, Florida in 1985. I have been back since for visits to my daughter and grandchildren that live in Lansing. Last time I was in Detroit was 2014, passing through on a Greyhound bus. The area looks real bad and it's a sad thing to see. There are several members that live in Michigan and one member who lives in Dearborn.
