Flowers, a puppy, and a good book. But I wouldn't mind if he gives me a fancy car or a trip to Hawaii or Italy. It' s just icing to the cake. After all, his love is the greatest gift of all.

For me the best give would be "him". To me words can be cheap, and material items come and go. But giving of ones self is the act of love. For each of us our time and own needs/desires are important. If we should sacrafic our time and put their needs/desires above our own. To me that is the act of love. To me that is the best gift I could receive as well as reciprocate.

I love being outdoors. camping, hiking, exploring. My favorite time of the year is Fall. My (future) mate taking the time and going hiking with me. Or a country drive to see the changing foliage. Helping me cook supper or cooking for me. Sitting around a fire and just talking. Its the simple acts of love that usually cost no money. It is a cost of ones self, and ones time. That to me is the perfect gift and reassures me of our love. There is nothing that can be bought for me that speaks of our love. Gifts are nice, we all enjoy a gift or surprise from time to time. But if the sacrifice and giving of ones self is not there. There is no love.
