I'd like to hear what your favorite oldies tunes are. It can be anything from the 80's and beyond. You can tell us why too if there is some special reason.

I know a lot of you younger members are closet oldies fans so don't be shy! Show the world that your musical taste runs deeper than Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber! :p
Well only one song stands head and shoulders above the rest......

YouTube - Monster Mash LYRICS

Also, while I'm not one to point out gramatical errors I've got to say.....Justin Bieber and the word 'musical' within the same sentence strikes as a rather gargantuan misnomer.

On a slightly more serious note...(although I do love The Monster Mash)...there are a lot of artists I like from the 80's.

Europe - The Final Countdown........simply epic song
Bill Withers - Lean On Me, Ain't No Sunshine etc..
John Farnham - You're The Voice
Kiss - Crazy Crazy Nights....the best lyrics ever.
Scott Mckenzie - San Fransisco

many others....

Sitting on the dock of the bay...forget who sings it
excellent... :)

I've had a few more running through my mind lately:

Vincent by Don McLean
Stand by Me
ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING THE EAGLES EVER DID, especially One of the These Nights

The sound of 12 string guitars and tight harmonies...awesome...

I'd like to throw a vote in for:
Green Onions, by Booker T and the MG's,
California Dreamin' by the Mamas and the Papas,
Not really considered 'oldies', but Hendrix, Pink Floyd, old blues/jazz (or perhaps jazz/blues for those who like Spinal Tap)

I like Josh Groban's cover of that song. The original is obviously better, but Groban's version is the first I heard.
