One of the most valid truths to this concept is the wives submit to your husbands. Men see this in the obedience girls have to their fathers. Demonstrate a woman who will cling to a biblical relationship and you might find more then one guy who is interested.

seetheunseen makes a point, but not about the snow and the cold, about not being able to meet anyone. I mean most people (non christians) would just go to a bar with their friends and try and meet someone there, but as a christian we aren't going to find anyone interested in us at a bar (not totaly ruling it out, i mean i'm sure it has happend before, but the chances are slim as most guys who go to a bar looking for a girl are looking to get laid).

I would highly recommend against trying in bars......like you said it could happen, but speaking from experience in England, there are plenty of people who'd see a Christian as a challenge to date or sleep with. I personally find it difficult going to bars or clubs, having spent 8 years getting drunk, generally once a week, there's nothing beneficial I get out of it. Of course were all coming from different places, and I don't doubt God would want people who are strong enough to reach out to people in bars......but yeah, definitely a bad idea for potential partners, volunteering or charity events, for your church or others are much better, were a Christian family after all, so I try to visit other churches....

I agree with the person that said do not go looking in the bars people are good actors there and not to fun a place in my opinion...Yeah I do understand not being able to find some heck I live in the town of 2500 with a church of about 20 and all of them are married or in there 70s. However I really am not worried no point.....
