I don't know about anyone else, but I'm missing seoulsearch's posts and smiling face, so why not make a thread to show her some love :)

Actually she did tell me recently that she feels she might be spending too much time on the internet.

Juliaana, that is quite sweet that you have noticed her not being around and starting this thread. What a lovely gesture. :)

LOL @ Zero. I am sure you did not scare her away. :p

I have noticed with her that it goes in *spurts* with her being here for a few days and then gone for a few days etc. I have always *assumed* maybe it revolved around her work schedule or something? (but, as we all know...assuming someones motives behind why they do things or say things can almost always be dangerous lol)

Julianna....I think of that woodcutter story ALLLLLLL the time now! (I had read it before, but reading it again has brought it to the front of my mind and I tie it to almost all situation now.! Its so relevant!!!!!)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if she's not online, then she'll never get to see this thread, right?
So...we could say whatever we wanted about her?

Well there is this one thing that she made me promise not to tell, but what she doesn't know won't hurt her, right? She told me that she (remembers the 'gossip' threads)....oh.

Well, maybe if I try to spin the situation to suit me, then I could tell you Seoul's secret... (remembers the manipulation thread)...drat.

Rules, rules, rules..I'd best just hush before I get told how much makeup I'm allowed to wear....

Anyways, Happy Birthday, Seoul!

There's nothing wrong with assumptions. For instance, I assume that Seoul doesn't have to work because she's independently wealthy. She would come on here a lot more but her satellite phone doesn't allow internet communications when she's checking out her vast real estate holdings in far-off places like Borneo. She's at the forefront of global real estate expansion and speculation. Do you know she's got a condo project planned for Antarctica? It's why she started the thread about 'snow shoveling'. How about her diamond and gold mines? I only bring this up to enlighten everyone, NOT because I've got some motive behind it...like if she wanted to send me a check that would pay off all of my debt and perhaps leave enough to buy a house and a Porsche 911 Turbo in British Racing Green with the optional Sport Chrono Pack...that would be nice, but it's not at all why I mentioned her overwhelming resources. In fact, it hadn't crossed my mind at all.

Seoul's a lot like me (or is it that I'm a lot like her?) in that we just get tired/bored of the innernetz quickly, and have to take some time to recharge/detox. It's why I come up missing on a regular basis, but does anyone offer a 'where are you NukePooch' thread? Wellll? Hmmmm?
Actually, I think that Seoul deserves one, being all insightful and thoughtful and nice and kind and inquisitive and caring (whatever ~rolls eyes~), whereas when I go away I think the forum breathes a collective sigh of relief.

Haha...thanks for the laugh.
I brought that part up about assumptions for my own benefit because I was the one assuming why she was not around. Seriously, the reminder of the Woodcutter story has been the reminder I have been needing obviously because I have not stopped thinking about it. Just shows me how far I have to grow in some areas.

Is the 'woodcutter' story in a post somewhere? My swiss-cheese memory doesn't remember it.

Hmm....ya know....I think she posted it on FB. It is a Max Lucado devotional. I had read it once before awhile back...and when she posted it recently, it was a very timely reminder for me.
I have to take off for my day now....but I will message it to ya later. Or post it here...or heck, maybe I will live on the wild side and do both. ;) Its worth the read.

Catch ya later. :)

Hey guys, all kidding aside, we should really pray for Kim. I didn't want to say anything out of respect for her privacy but she could really use some people praying for her now. She's going through a rough time and I'm sure she would appreciate our prayers. Don't worry she's not in any danger.

Gabe

She really did say she wanted to start spending less time on the internet though.

Will pray, zero :) I so understand needing a break from being online sometimes. Will be doing that myself very soon (though I'll still have facebook on my phone LOL).

And Nuke, stop bringing such a GUY and bringing LOGIC into the equation! LOL When she does come back, this will be here and she'll know we missed her :)

Grace, I found myself thinking about the woodcutter story on my way home in the thunderstorm last night. Funny how it fits so often...

I like British Racing Green but I would prefer my 911 Turbo in Guards red, just like the old 930's. :)

A porsche man! Classic porsche even! You are a rare specimen these days you know. The 930 has always been my favorite, followed closely by the 959.

I emailed her last night and told her about this. Haven't heard back from her yet. One of these days I'll have to find that woodcutter story you're talking about.
