Oh man, cool car! :D You people are hilarious! :) I can't help it if I have less expensive tastes in sports cars... I mean, with the economy the way it is, doesn't one have to be careful? I'm being frugal! :p

Ok, 3rd gen camaros do look cool, but thats about all thats good to say about it. You know what I actually burned my behind sitting on the center backseat of one while my friend test drove it. Yes it was a new one at a chevy dealer (jealous are we?). The salesman admitted that the seat does get hot in that area. My friend wasn't actually buying he just wanted to drive one. It was a red z28. I forget the year. It was the first or second year they came out. I almost bought a mint 2002 camaro from my uncle in 2004 but I ended up buying a honda accord instead.

To duplicate the red Camaro would probably run you better than $50,000. Might want to save your pesos starting now.

When I was in my late teens/early 20's, I had a friend whose boyfriend drove a Porsche. He was a really nice guy, down to earth, not stuck up at all... He happened to have a good job and some savings and that's what he decided to spend it on. I have no idea what year or model it was, but, the poor guy... it was THE ugliest putty/gray/slate color I have ever seen. Maybe that's what ruined it for me...

All the Camaros, Trans Ams, and Firebirds I've seen were in cool colors like black, silver, white, red, and cobalt blue.

Actually, I think that even if I COULD afford to buy both Nuke and Zero each a Porsche, I wouldn't do it--I'd buy each of them a Camaro instead just to get back at them for all their wise-guy comments. :D

Well, in this case, it's a fiberglass hood with 1/4-turn Dzus fasteners holding it down. This car runs 9 second quarter miles on nitrous. To be honest, it's actually a bit slower than most of what I work on.

Here's my boss's car (the white Olds).

See now if he had not so steathily hidden those huge back tires I would have known right away this was a fast car. So you work in the racing industry? It must be so boring! I pity you.

Thats interesting because I think I know what gray you are talking about. Back in the 70's or 80's they made the 911 in a silver that faded into a dull, awful gray. Your friend should have had it repainted. Then you'd be a porsche girl instead of camaro girl. Its all his fault!

Is this what you saw? If it is, I can't really blame you for liking camaros instead.

Ok now this is what a porsche is supposed to look like:

Ew, its even got original headlamps. I thought everyone should have upgraded to the H4's.

Then again I suppose if they were going to do that they would have repainted it too.

Well, I'm switching jobs in a couple months, my hands can't take the welding anymore...I don't know what God's got for me next...I build drag cars, but my passion is rally racing and off-road/rock crawling.

This is what really gets my notice.

I dunno... I'm still not convinced. Though the silver convertible is pretty sweet... but that could just be because I have a thing for convertibles...

I like those stock car rally races, but never got into the rock crawling thing.

My favorite type of racing is the Super GT series in Japan (formerly the JGTC series). Awesome looking japanese race cars on twisty circuits. :)
