I've read a few great God books in my time, besides the b-I-b-le. What have you read in your umpteen years of existence? How has God used that story of fiction/nonfiction to make you more like Him?
Quick sentence too please on what specific book you are reading now. Recommend it (or not) in 50 words or less.
Passion & Purity by Elizabeth Elliott
One of my favorites Ive read three times, and, no, I'm not saying I'm better than anyone else because ofe sexual stuff because it is no different from any other kind of sin. you ask God for forgivness with a contrite heart, forgive others, and, also, of course, yourself (the only hard thing to do) and go life making better choices and you will with power of God. God doesn't't remember a thing after that time. I like story I read by Gilbert Morris too. It helped me too understand who I am better, and, helping others is good thing to do, for rewards come from doing that, helped me understand my dad better too. So, now, time for:...... U :)

Maximus Lucado!

Why sure I've read him, grace. Yes, he can poetically flow words . Traveling Light is one book I gave to my boss boss at a major non profit I used to work for , although I only read thecfirdt few pages of that book myself as it starts out naming all the names, like Yaweh, of our God.

I also bought and never read John 3:16, which is one of my favorite verses and certainly the most used verse by me if God's put witness/ evangelism on my heart. Only 'believe,' eh. How simple it really is to have Eternal life:)

Lol, so far, named two of his books and they been kind of like hot potatoes (or 'hot tomatoes' if you play the goody, mush version of the game;) .

Yes, Lucado's books are prime reading to help change our lives. I think their is an Applause In Heaven(yes, I've fully read this Lucado )when we choose to rear a great book to change our life. :) And, yes, Liz's story of willingness to follow after God in singleness is well worth the read,ca blessed read, indeed, quite s sad story at times putting myself in Liz's lonely shoes but....that's where the tissues come in:) Sure, Grace, read it again, and I've boot read it but book 2 of her P&P story is Quest For Love.

Nods, Franky P. is a great writer , still not read This Present Darkness series but heard its real engaging. Peretti is a great speaker too, heard him interviewed by James Dobson couple years back on Focus On Family radio show, he's funny as watching a circus pony perform too. Good choice!

Ok, don't mean to float my own thread but I did just read a great Gilbert Morris story titled, Jacob's Way' It's about a girl named Riesa who travels to America in the late 1800s when her country, Russia, gets overtaken by bad soldier regime. Just a great story, a bit long, but well worth reading, it has ALL the elements of good, clean, informative, exciting, storytelling. You won't be disappointed reading it.

Riesa showed me her determination to make it through tough times , and, what kind of work she does to start out and make a living in america is good picture of life and times in early 20th century America. Course, God values are laced heartily throughout the story too. :)

The Complete Husband by Lou Priolo
I'm reading it as a single even tho it is written to the husband. But since you don't magically know everything you should as a husband when you get married it is best to learn beforehand. Really good book that hits straight at the stuff that matters most.
