Single and waiting in God for your your mate?

I just wanted to see where everyone is at when it comes to the subject about waiting for your mate in God. I find that alot of people do not take the time to see if God approves of the relationships they get involved in. What is the hardest part for you all in waiting for God to provide the man or woman that he has for you?

Personally, I used to find the hardest part in waiting for me was when the loneliness would kick in. I have been waiting in God for a man for the last 6 and a half years. I found that when the loneliness would kick in it was soo hard for me to stay focused and concentrate in God. It was only when I completely and sincerly gave my will to God that I was able to have peace.

Just wanted to know everyoes opinion since this is become a more common situation! God Bless!!!

Ive been waiting my entire life for God to lead me to the one he has put aside for me. The loneliness is hard, but ive seen so many ungodly relationships crumble. I think its important to have a God-blessed relationship. I think God is using this time to get me ready, and to teach me to trust him and focus on him more.

I think one of the hardest times is when you meet someone that you are attracted to, but nothing materializes out of the friendship. Once that feeling of attraction is unleashed, you remember what it feels like, and you miss it....so therefore your reminded of how you are alone.

One of the hardest things about waiting for the right one are all of the wrong ones who cross your path along the way. It can be very frustrating.

Hopefully, we're all waiting for God to show us that, Lad. I wasn't really talking about being in relationships though..more like wrong people who try to force their way into your life and trying to find polite ways to say it's not right for you. Does that make sense?

Shawny I completely agree with you!!! It's important that in our time of waiting we really focus on our relationship with God and the relationship we have with him. Once our will is completely aligned with His then everything will fall into place. That is why the word says Look for the kingdom of God first and everything else will be added on! I think it's important to also pray for our future mate as well. That God will keep them safe and use them for His glory as well until you both meet and can do things for Him together!! U will be in my prayers friend!!

I completely agree with you on that one. Just a few months ago I had started to give a guy that was interested me a chance. He is deployed to afghanistan but came home for a few weeks. Now, I had known him for five years but had only seen him like twice before. Three months before he came home we were already talking. The prob is I lost track of God because I had basically started replacing Him with this guy. Come to find out the comes home and we get into a relationship but the more I would spend time with him the more I realized he wasn't for me!!!!!!!!!!!!! His life was not in line with God at all even though he said it was! Well, to make a long story short he ended up being a jerk. Played with my emotions and heart then dumped me before he went back. Till this very day never aplogized! This happened about 2 months ago.

My point is, we might find the person attractive physically but if that person doesn't have the beauty that God shines through us it is def not worth it!! Loneliness will always be there and frankly it's a tool the devil uses to get us to give in to sin. As long as we continue to put God first everything will fall into place! Very true! The more you get deeper into the things of God the more you will be completely satisfied in Him and His company will be all you want and need! Your wife is out there God only knows the perfect timing! Keep the faith! God Bless you!!

I completely agree with you!! The devil is a deceiver and a liar. He tries to confuse us with putting people that seem almost perfect in our path only to find out that is was a trap. I was telling another member on here how I had gotten confused as well. After that heartbreak God really opend my eyes to understand that I will completely know when He is the one who sends me my mate. In the mean time I just need to love and look for Him more and everything will work out! Don't be fooled my dear!
