It just so funny when sometimes I found a fact that many men or women don't really understand their couple. some men complaint :

" I don't know why she is crying when I home late ? I came late because i had a meeting ?"
" I don't know why it took so long to brush her hair ?"
" why she is so mad, I just watch the football game but I follow her when she is talking about the her new hair cut ?"

some women complaint to their couple
" why don't you give any comment for my new hair cut ? it will not take forever just to give a compliment'!"
" does sport more important than me ?"

maybe that's why they called man from Mars and Woman from Venus :)

so, let me know your ideas about it.

I can't believe no one has responded to this one yet.
And yet you didn't respond Zero, haha.
And now I'm responding without responding too.... so here I go:

- Don't talk to a man while he is watching soccer, football, baseball, or whatever sport is on TV.
- Don't give a salad to a man, is offensive.
- They have a natural knowledge of cars, if not, they pretend they have it.:)
- Movies are not fun if there is no killing, guns, blood, or explosions.
- They admire men who are famous because of their power or strenght. That's why they love The Godfather. ( if they are christian, the exception is Jesus of course)

- men don't trust teenage boys around their daughters because they used to be one
- men don't like to listen to problems, they want to fix them. if you don't want it fixed, keep it to yourself
- anything that sounds like whining hits the male eardrum as "blah, blah, blah" and disintegrates into the sound of Charlie Brown's teacher
- men would rather have their eyebrows plucked out than watch a childbirth video
- few things will break a guy's heart more than seeing his mother cry

Five things I think I know about men (basing this off of living with 3 male roommates and the total nuimber of 7 boyfriends I've had)

1. When a man is having a really bad day, they tend to want to be left alone till they've had time to calm down or think reasonably.
2. They're not mind readers, they prefer it when us women just tell them what's wrong rather than leaving them to guess it
3. They don't hold grudges often. They usually just fight or argue it out and then move on rather than hold on to it and bring it up again.
4. They're problem solvers. Where women tend to tell a guy their problems hoping they'll just listen, guys have the natural instinct to try to fix the problem... and it often causes arguments lol.
5. They never look good in a speedo.

1. If you tell him something is wrong, he'll want to fix it.
2. He doesn't care what you wear. He's just happy being with you.
3. He doesn't care about your new haircut. Getting 3 inches trimmed looks just the same as if you had left it alone.
4. He doesn't like making all the decisions. If you want to do something or go somewhere, tell him.
5. No chick flicks.

sometimes we don't trust teenage boys around our daughters, not always because we were one once ourselves, but rather because we know how some teen boys were when we were teens, and it worries us. We weren't all that way! just sayin'...

for me, what sounds like whining only is annoying when my woman and her friends say that about me. that's when I draw the line :)

I know men who will watch childbirth movies, esp. when they are about to become poppas. Myself included, I wouldn't trade becoming a poppa for anything.

And you are right about seeing our mom cry, just breaks our heart...

We think when you explain your problem, you're wanting advice. And that if we don't give it, you'll think we aren't listening or don't care. truth from experience...:)

but it's all good in the end, we generally still love you, but we are men, not women.

For years our media has seemed to be trying to change men into women. And after it happens, the woman isn't happy and hunts down an alpha male. I've seen that happen to myself and my friends, it's why men are more "on alert" now. Or maybe totally confused or don't care anymore might describe some of them too. Just depends on the man and his experiences, many are similar.

Things I know about the male species:

1. Men need to breathe
2. Men need food and water
3. Men, more often than not, will follow and obey the rules of gravity
4. Men need pats

That's all I have so far, but this list is steadily growing.

What I know about women -

1. When women are ranting about something, they don't want us, men, to fix it. So pretend to listen and go 'mm .. mmm... oh!'.
2. It is difficult to help a woman choose what to wear - 'Should I wear this or that? Does this make me look fat? I think it is a little short for me.. yada yada yada' At some time of her conversation I respond as mentioned above, while I am watching the TV.
3. They love to be chased (before the relationship) and pampered (during the relationship).
4. All women have a weakness for chocolates and/or sweets.
5. Women pay a lot of attention to their hair and their shoes.

I have learned:

1. People like reviving dead threads that have the potential to start these man/woman fights again..
2. Once a horse dies, dismount.

Oh goodness... This is the part where everyone "describes 5 things that they know about men/women" and then gets yelled at for their hasty generalizations :p

A few things I've learned about Women:

1. They are all different, even though they have this weird group mentality where they act like their all the same.

2. Many are subtle communicators (don't necessarily really say what they mean, want, or feel outright/aren't straightforward). (P.S. Most men lack subtlety...this causes many disjunctures)

3. They are often just as misunderstood by men, as men are misunderstood by them.

4. (Not trying to offensive, just sayin') Some part of their psyche still adhere's to something of an 'animal instinct'. If she doesn't feel safe around, attracted to, and 'sought after' by you...regardless of all the other stuff...probably not gonna work out, sadly. Sorry.

5. Most are highly easy to irritate...intentionally or not...just seems to come naturally...

There's more, of course, but you said five...so this is a good start. ^^

I am sure for many centuries men must have been telling this to their women. And they still don't get it!
