We've complained about worst dates and rudest things that have happened on dates, so what is the sweetest thing that has ever happened on a date?

This guy i had been kinda seeing...dating whatever you wanna call it, we had only gone out twicw but he made me two c.d.s of like all my favorite songs.

Another guy he was in the military and had gone over seas a lot well he had gotten this really awesome bracelet type thing...it wasnt really a braceclet i cant describe it ...anyways he got it from europe and it was so cool, i saw it on his wrist when we went out one night and i just said i love that band on your wrist its awesome...so he took it off and said here, then i want you to have it... and he gave it to me.

Despite being in the middle of a misunderstanding (and me avoiding him) he still made the effort to personally prepare a meal for me (packed) and picked me up and drop me off to school.

I was in the hospital for a few days a couple of years ago with pneumonia, bored stiff because I don't like to sit still for long... and the guy I was dating went to a hobby store and brought me a couple of needlework projects. I never mentioned to him that I liked to do needlework, but he said he'd noticed a couple of things at my house that I'd done when my son was very small. He must have felt so awkward in that shop and may have even had to ask for help, but it was one of the sweetest things ever.

When we arrived at my house I showed my date my special room lined with all the pictures I'd taken of her without her knowing. I thought it would be a special moment for her...and it was. I still can't believe she changed her name.

I don't know how many times I've been with my boyfriend and he's come up with "the new sweetest thing".
First date, we were just friends, and he was helping me through a previous breakup.
Second date, he admitted he liked me and we held hands.
Third, wasn't really a date, he was just at my house, I came home from work upset, because someone insulted me. He was the only one who would listen to me, and he let me cry on his shoulder (which no one has EVER done for me).
Fourth, he gave me a necklace for my birthday, and told me it took him forever to find the perfect one for me ( I wear it every day now). He also got me RITZ crackers, because I absalutly adore them, and he knew it.
Fifth, I had to get out of the house, he met up with me, that's when he ASKED if he could kiss my cheek.
Sixth, we snuck out at midnight, and He ASKED if he could kiss me. I told him yes.
......
But I'd have to say that the absalute SWEETEST thing he's ever done for me, is love me even though I make mistakes (and he knows it). And he lets me love him.

Of course, you'll probably think he's sweeter, because you'll love him....that's why I think no on can get sweeter than mine... but I try not to be conceited.

I met my now hubby as a blind date.......first date was to his mom and dad's house for his birthday dinner. During the course of the meal we were talking about collections and hobbies, etc; and I mentioned that if I would ever start a collection, I think I could really get into collecting bells. It was just a random one line in amongst the flow of a conversational evening. On our second date he gave me a bell he had gotten with a bird on top.....just a simple pretty little bell, but it meant and still means so very much to me! Not because he gave me a present, but because he was obviously listening to me all evening! 26+ years later and I can tell you he STILL listens to my wants/needs. If I mention we need a new toaster, vaccum cleaner, skillet, or towel rack soon.....I get it for my birthday or Christmas, or Mother's day..whatever the next occasion is!!! hahaha maybe that doen't SOUND romantic...but it IS--because he still listens!!!

I've got some health issues, they affect my life now, and will always affect my life on and off. And that of course means the person i marry will be affected by them as well. I had explained in detail the work and effects this has on me, and potentially on her if we were ever to marry. Her response was not what i expected. Not only did she not 'mind', she said she like the idea of taking care of me. She wanted to be there for the hospital visits and do whatever was needed to help me through the rough times and that she would do it happily. I was really shocked to hear that and i can't begin to explain the positive feelings and emotions that caused me to feel. Unfortunately, do to things beyond our control, we were not able to stay together.
