In a Race to Date. (The Dating Race?)

The girls at work love to tell I'm "whiter than the average white girl" so maybe I need to find guy who likes "super-white white girls"? HA, just kidding.

I've seen and met attractive guys from all kinds of different backgrounds--I figure, why limit the options.

But I also have to say that since I've mostly been around whites (and was raised by a white family), that tends to be what I'm more immediately at ease with--I'm always willing to give someone a chance though (at the very least, we could be friends.)

My "first boyfriend" was this very cute guy in kindergarten (sadly, I seem to have lost the interest of the male species not too much longer after that.) He was just adorable and had blond hair and bright blue eyes--he used to write me little notes, and bring me flowers and pieces of jewelry... We were "on and off" through 8th grade. I remember bringing him a watch and a t-shirt at school that I had bought him with my allowance one day and he was so surprised.

I ran into him at a restaurant when we were in our 20's and he still had those killer blue eyes. He came up to me and started talking and I have to admit to a little bit of a heart flutter.

Alas, it was not meant to be, as he married and had a daughter.
