What's A Phrase About Christmas You Want To Say To Others?

I said this once to some friends of mine after exchanging presents one year and I got them-a family of 6- a lot of nice stuff while they got me one basic $20 gift.

I have nothing to offer but a thread . ' Course, IF I give my green brains long enough surely they will be able to give you something to get your thoughts coagulating

So, yeah, ring-ding-ling, what have you said or heard said by someone else that struck a 'Christmas' chord with you?

Hey, hey, HEY, people in green got feelings too, (sniff, sniff), you know.

Anyhooway, the phrase I remember saying was said to make them feel better because they felt bad I got so much for them and they got so little for me for Christmas:
**********I said :
"I see your generosity all year long to your kids and others, family and friends, and this is reward for your giving so much to others. It is the giving not the getting . Jesus on Earth did a lot like you do to help others all through the year. You are a great family, look at those smiling little ones, all you so blessed.'

You probably can pick out the phrase.

As an epilogue, I saw those friends that next Christmas and they bought like 6 gifts for me, VERY nice gifts too, MUCH nicer than what I gave them, because that next year I was less income. This family is well off I should say too, and there generosity at this Christmas 10 years ago continues to this day and the gifts they give me are always now very, very nice.

Why could that be? Because I said that 'giving not getting' phrase with their all elementary kids in the room. It would be kind of hard to tell how it changed them completely but certainly what God showed me was that great sacrifice gets repaid by Him and this was 'sacrifice' to me 10 years ago , and, I gave gifts to so many people yearly, besides this young big family. And, one other thing, I knew the dad from acquaintance in high school and I had remembered how he was stingy with money during all of the months in a year , except Christmas...

I know it was God working through me to this family and my friend , just a great thing to follow God's lead. Afterall, We get so much when we give to Him.

Remember, that whoever you give to, like Christian Chat, or, World Vision or, your church, as long as you are praying from your heart when you give, the abundance YOU get out of your giving will be sooo much on Earth....

And, don't even let me start on what you will get in Heaven....
