I've been abstinent ever since my daughter was born. It's been 13 years now since I made my personal vow to God I would wait until marriage. Some people my age are appalled and shocked that I can withstand temptation (which honestly, if you have a faithful heart, is not that difficult to obtain, so I don't understand why people are so in awe). The Bible is definitely 100% clear on what is has to say about sexual immorality, also about purity i.e., keeping your body for the Lord. There should be no arguements with any of our brothers and sisters in Christ that NO is the final answer.

Although before being saved I would have said yes, and have done so. Now as a saved man I believe that we re meant for only our spouse.

The reason i think you shouldn't [other than the Bible being against it] is that it bring so much heartbreak if you don't get married. Theres such a emotional bond after you do those things also there's the possibility of a baby which is never a good idea unless you are married.

I agree that there should not be any sex before marriage. I'm new to this type of thinking because I've been in relationships that didnt have God in it and they all ended up being bad relationships, it does state clearly in the Bible that sex should wait until marriage, now with me being a single Christian my attitude and thinking towards dating and relationships has changed majorly and I'm proud of that.

It also helps to be ugly. Like if you are fairly attractive guy, Shave your head and grow a beard. This will go a long way toward staying abstinent. Also, Cloistering yourself in your parents basement with some CC, an Xbox, a few Cases of Mt. Dew and a Pallet of Doritos, this will pretty much ensure that whatever chastity you had in mind is locked up like gold in Fort Knox. If you must go out in public, NASCAR/Dragracing shirts with Dates Places and Faces printed on them should be enough to do the trick.

If you are a woman, Talk all the time, like non-stop about absolutely nothing. Wear Sweatpants everywhere (not the good looking kind that you work out in either) the gray ones like your uncle used to wear. Find a way to make your hair look like a Coral Reef, you know the cut, its really short all over the back with long bangs, cause that is money. Oh and if all that is going to negatively affect your self image, a Beanie baby, Crystal Unicorn, and Lava Lamp collection should have about the same effect. And finally in public, the pack of purple wolves howling at the moon shirt that is big enough to be a Mu Mu is your ticket to never having to worry about someone pursuing you with the wrong intentions.

This is all in fun. People who claim to be Christians and have sex before marriage know what they are doing and they know that it is wrong.

I agree with many people in here. Sex is something that is the embodiment of a couples undying love for each other, and incredibly intimate. Sex before marriage (even during an engagement) is wrong no matter how you look at it. People make excuses hoping to make it sound right, but two wrongs don't make a right. If you keep going left, you will never go right, and vice versa.

On the "Eau de Christian Single Guy" perfoom question and statements, I believe God has blessed me with a wonderful one after having all non - christian guys in my life, it's great to finally have one that respects me enough to understand that I WILL NOT sleep with him before marriage. And he's a really sweet guy.

One more thing, Guys are not the only perverts out there... women are too. Some guys can be the most WONDERFUL guys on the planet, but it's always the ones that are hard jerks to the core that many women go after thinking they can change them into the man they want.

When we stop pointing fingers at each other, and look at the big picture... and take some responsibility for our own thoughts and actions, we can actually open our eyes and find that "Perfect" someone God has intended for us.

I don't think the MALE SPECIES is ONLY to blame for the perverted thoughts and ideals in the relationships between men and women. I think the women do too.

I don't know if I can get any uglier... I'm exactly the ideal woman a guy wants. I'm not skinny, I love NASCAR tho, and outdoor stuff like fishing, hiking, biking, and motorbiking. I'm not girlish - I don't wear dresses (The last time I wore a dress I went to prom night), I work on cars, I listen to country music, and I am NOT tooth pick skinny nor am i Skinny in any way. Oh and I'm always thought of as "one of the guys" when I hang out with friends and coworkers. Sure I like to do SOME girlish things, like put my hair up in a ponytail... but as for going to a barber, I don't think so.

Girly things for me don't work, and I don't like most of it. I hate shopping, I don't really like "Chick flick" Movies, and I can't stand gossiping about the latest celebrity. I don't go for shoes (I actually have less shoes than my DAD!), I prefer to pay my own way, and I can drink a cold beer (Not that I do it often, just using my past as an example) with the rest of the guys.

So how can I get uglier? It's strange... Yet I have a boyfriend, who respects my wishes and moral standing on Sexual things before marriage.

As for guys getting ugly... that's on yall...

I think that we are all looking in the wrong places. My church is great but there are 100 more in my area all with people that are true to their faith and people who are not. Obviously the bible itself does not condone sex before marriage. But over all i believe people are looking for what is wrong with someone, not what is right. Everyone has fault, everyone. I think it is more what are you going to look for, the wrong or the right?

Girly things and uglyness are unrelated topics. As for me the fastest way to repel any romantic intentions from me is to wear pink. (ad nauseum)
