If you could be any fictional character, who would you most want to be? TV personality, comic books, movies, fictional literature... anything goes!

Also, might be interesting to share who you think others are most like.

I think I'd probably go with the following:

Book - Ender or Brennan Caldwell
Movie - Neo

comic: Batgirl
movie: Lorna Cole (Rene Russo's character in the Lethal Weapon series) or Charlie from Topgun
book: Kate - The Taming of the Shrew :D

I love kick-butt female characters.

The types of girls portrayed by Angelina Jolie (Wanted), Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil Series, Ultra Violet), Kate Beckinsale (Underworld series), and of course, the classic--Linda Hamilton's Sarah Connor in Terminator 2.

In my biggest dreams, I'd speak 12 different languages, hold my owns in weapons expertise (guns, knives, explosives), be a master of at least 5 different martial arts genres, and have the classic fashion sense of Kate Middleton (have to keep a bit of the feminine touch, you know.)

In reality, I speak (and type) one language (this is it, folks), am too clumsy to make it through an open door sometimes (let's not talk about moving staircases and REVOLVING doors), and promptly burned a batch of fried chicken I was trying to make this past weekend. *Sighs*

Thank goodness for the movies, where every now and then I can at least live out a fantasy of being an International Woman of Butt-Kicking Mystery for an hour or two. ;)

Nod, for some reason when I watched Girl with The Dragon Tatoo (the original swedish version, not the US remake) I kept thinking that Lizbeth Salander's character reminds me of you. Probably because she is uber smart and extremely independent, and also knows how to take care of herself in any situation. Yea, that's got to be it! :)

welll yeah lol, but I know you don't look like her. Its just that she has this fiercely independent attitude and can hack into any computer in the world (oops..SPOILER ALERT!!!).

Nods, I got you pegged much better than her ^ , you would make a good 'Girl Interrupted' girl . :) :D. I think that girl was completely normal but got put in crazy house.

I also saw The Debt , and, speaking, of 'independent,' their is a girl in that flick that is fiercely independent in a detective sort of way, so this character may be more julieannie-like than you. :D

Laura Croft was my first thought, but I was like....nah...that's too far out there even for me. Lorna and Charlie could actually be real people. :)

Well I went way more "far out" than you. :p

A jedi-esque,telepathic, military General living in a space-traveling world still waiting for Jesus to come and save them...

That's what fiction is all about, isn't it? Oh the possibilities!

Lorna?

Funny, I'm uh HUGE 21/2 Men watcher and I don't think Charlie (Sheen) ever had a flame of that name in his life.

Kidding, julieannie. You know, k-i-d-m-a-n, oh, wait, you are pretty as her in The Interpreter. Anyway, just a little lost in translation bill Murray dry humor for ya :D

---
By the way, Yeah, Yeah, YEAH, Lara Croft, Tomb Raiders, julieannie, YOU. :)

Can I be a guy?
I'd want to be Strider (yup, I like Aragorn better as the roam- in - the - wild - guy than as a king, at least fits my personality more)

OOOHH, good call, Gabe. I've seen all three of the Swedish movies as well and Noomi Rapace was absolutely gorgeous in the role. Maybe I'm just weird but I didn't think she looked like a lesbian--one of the things I loved about her in the role is that she retained a sense of feminine beauty, even if it was totally punked out (I happen to really dig the alternative look on people who really identify with it.)

Haven't seen the US version... From the pictures and clips I've seen I don't think the American version captures Lisbeth's unique beauty as much, but I could definitely see some of our strong, independent women here as Lisbeth (carry a camera and taser at all times... you never know when they might come in handy.)

TV- My family thinks I'm a friendly version of Dr. House. My sister went so far as to paint a picture of him for me. I don't know how far that analogy goes. I'll let you draw your own conclusions.

Books- Lightningclap beat me to Ender, so I guess I'll have to go for Bean. :p

Dr. Ransom from CS Lewis' Space Trilogy

Paul Atreides from Dune

Allan Quartermaine from King Solomon's Mines

Movies- Jeremiah Johnson from Jeremiah Johnson

Denzel Washington's Character in The Book of Eli

Lawrence of Arabia

Plays- Henry V
