In general talk? Conspiracy theorists or those who demonize people who have differing views from them. I might as well be specific. LOL. I just want to do a *roll eyes to facepalm* anytime someone uses the word "antichrist" about a political candidate for the OTHER side. Because (and you probably know exactly what I'm talking about, Jullianna) it happens EVERY presidential race, just about! LOL.
As for things that men talk about that annoy me (can't speak for other women)... hmmmmm... I can't really think of something specific. I guess just anytime they get going on a subject that the girl clearly doesn't know much about but they just keep going on about it. Like they're trying to prove that they know more about it than she does. It's like "Okay. I get it." And to be fair, guys... not all of you do that. I have many many guy friends who aren't that way!

I agree with NodMyHeadLikeYeah. That is really annoying. But what really bothers me is hearing someone take the Lord's name in vain. I do eye rolls and it relaly makes my skin crawl!

I roll my eyes when someone I know constantly talks about how great and wonderful they are. I feel like that is something that wouldn't have to be expressed if it were true. Of course I do pray for people like this, but it is still annoying.
I also find it hard when someone constantly interrupts other people.

I'm totally with you there on the tinfoil hat brigade. Politicians have enough trouble tying their own shoes, so forget about maintaining secret orders and hiding alien life.
Isaiah 8:12 “Do not call conspiracy everything that these people call conspiracy Also, stubborn opinions about doctrines that have still not been settled over the last 2000 years. How about, "Hmm, two well supported points of view, maybe one of them is right. However, seeing as it doesn't effect what I know God wants me to do with my life today, it doesn't really warrant fighting about". I'm sure things will happen according to the way God intends, no matter how much I try to convince Him my personal, pre/post/mid tribulation rapture or XYZ pet doctrine is a better idea. Also, people talking about spiritual things that they have no experience in. The amount of times I've heard or been told by churchies that God does or doesn't do (insert obvious issues here) when I have seen it with my own eyes... Yeah. Kinda makes me wanna *roll eyes to facepalm* as Chiclet01 said. (avoids mentioning points of contention so as not to case a riot in Jullianna's thread) As for the opposite gender. I guess when a genuine compliment to a girl and is responded with a "What a creepy weirdo!". Jeez, the poor guy was just saying something nice to you, not trying to force you into marriage or stealing your firstborn. Be a lady about it and thank him graciously. Obviously this does not apply when a guy is actually being creepy. i.e. I like that you have child bearing hips, are you available for a meaningful relationship because I've stalked you for some time now. I will only get jealous if you talk to anyone other than me. But it's ok, because I'm totally emotionally maladjusted. Talk to me NOW. Give me ALL your attention. Why are you leaving? We're meant to be together, I had a dream about you! GOD WILLS IT!!!!!! Drats, she's gone... I wonder if her sister is here? She sure has purdy teeth. Or whatever it is that the guy creepers say. (I only hear from the girl creepers) Um... I think I'll stop now before I start to rave like a cranky old man ranting on about everything and everyone everywhere. *Thinks about rainbows and kittens* Oh... it's 5:10am. That's why I'm cranky, I need a nap. |

Some of you have touched upon things that make me roll my eyes as well. This one is HUGE for me:
When a new believer asks a simple question or asks for a explanation of a scripture and is not met with the mind of Christ, Who would have looked beyond the words to the heart behind the question, but is met with what quickly becomes an argument among "believers" who are seemingly more concerned with impressing people with what they know than sharing the wisdom of the Kingdom and encouraging someone young in Christ. and When people step on or use other people to get what they want no matter what.

It makes me roll my eyes and feel uncomfortable when people, especially teens, talk about young stuff and disgusting words in front of old people and on a bus with their voice loud.

It makes me roll my eyes when people post all over their facebook how much they need God, need prayer, know that He is big and powerful and can heal them....but as soon as they are well or no longer "need" Him you don't hear a single peep about God and their fb wall is covered in pictures of drunken parties where they are in questionable risque attire in some provocative photo pose. *face palm*
Also my eyes roll or I start to get a tick when I see obviously selfish parents throwing their children at whoever will watch them so that they can go out and do whatever they want. (People I know, not strangers) .....I'm sure there are many more things but those are the first two to come to mind. :/

I don't like it when people roll their eyes. It makes me close my eyes so that I cannot express myself that way. So what makes me close my eyes... when someone misunderstands me & believes they understand me, even "know" me.

It doesn't annoy me, in fact maybe just the opposite, but when girls in a group are all excited talking to each other that is fine, in fact, I get a kick out of what seems like 3 different conversation going on at once in say a group of 5. But what is tough to have to hear is the littany of 'OMG' and I am being honest here, I haven't heard it from church very much at all. Just outside the church, whether it be a fast food restaurant or wherever. God is specific, says we WILL be punished when we use His name in vain and I have, at times, heard God's voice , urgings anyway, to say things like 'where,' IF a girl says 'OMG,' . And, I am being funny, but SERIOUS, too. There is no reason. Not judging , just letting them know what the bible says on taking the Lord's name in vain . It is not to be said lightly, it is God's name, hallowed be it

Also, I feel like Cheekygrin when it comes about stubborn opinions about doctrines. Having a debate is healthy, discussing the Bible it's good, learning is beautiful, but when it leads to the division of the body of Christ....that's when it loses it's beauty and real meaning.

I just thought of another one thats funny in a way.
I roll my eyes at women when I see them engrossed over a magazine thats clearly not going to be of any help to them. ie cosmopolitan would be titles "How to look anorexic and be unintelligent JUST LIKE Kim Kardashian!! or "What he REALLY thinks of your sexual prowess!" or "Your horoscope according to what type of bellybutton you have" or "Coupon for 25% off botox inside!" |

When anarchists talk about how the government, cops, and money is evil, especially because the argument is usually stupid. My cousin annoys me with this crazy talk all the time. The government is sometimes evil, i'm talking about the structure of government she argues against.
