What's the strangest or funniest thing that's ever happened to you in the dark? (keep it clean please )

ONE OF MINE: A couple of years ago I woke up thirsty and went into the bathroom half asleep to get a drink of water. Normally I would rinse the glass before getting a drink, but this time I didn't...

I felt something sharp against my lip and later realized I'd swallowed a small spider who had bitten my lip in revenge. It was kinda swollen for a couple of days. My boss found it very funny. Me...not so much..blech...

I alllllllllways rinse the glass first now.

I was walking home one time, and I feel these paws on my back. It was my dog, Tommy. He actually jumped me from the back. Stupid mutt startled me.

I remember one night, when my older brother and I still lived with our parents many years ago, we had stayed out very, VERY late. Knowing our mother would have a cow, we attempted to sneak into the house without waking anyone up. Despite the house being pitch black, we made it inside just and fine and thought we were going to get away with until I walked over to where the couch was before we left to lay down. What we didn't know was that my mother had rearranged the living room furniture while we were gone until I found myself crashing through and destroying my mother's coffee table. I don't think I have to explain what happened next. *lol*

Kooper: I stepped on a fuzzy squeaky dog toy on the way to the bathroom in the middle of the night a few weeks ago...which ALMOST made the trip unnecessary haha

Crossfire: rut roh... My dad's punishment for staying out too late as a teen on Friday night = getting up a dawn the next morning to kill/pluck chickens

I was maybe 8 years old, coming downstairs at night to get a glass of water. We had just adopted a new kitten, and he ran toward me. I screamed, and he pounced on my chest. The surprise knocked me off my feet :P. This wasn't the first, nor last time he pulled a stunt like that.

While in bed half asleep I felt this strange lump at my feet. Being in a sleep adled state I pushed the bunched up blankets off my bed only to hear a thud. Turned out it was the cat and I realized that as I heard the thud. Poor critter. That was the only time I did that too. She always slept at my feet before and after.

I was in photography class and we were all in the dark room... (oh wait this is a christian site!)

The wierdest thing ever was when I was searching a house in the dark with another officer for someone with an arrest warrant. I went into one of the bedrooms and I heard what sounded in the dark like someone chambering a round. I think my heart skipped several beats and I froze for a few seconds while my brain processed it all. When nothing happened, I kept going and found him hiding under the bed. What I'd heard was a bedspring on the rusty old bed he was hiding under.

Thats scary! I probably would have bolted and screamed like a little girl.

Usually getting out of bed to get something, walking into a door or wall then getting a giant bruise then waking up in the morning and wondering how I got it LOL
