Hey everyone, I thought about making this thread while listening to one of my favorite singles song! I know theres lots of you out there who are single and have a favorite song they like to listen to when maybe they are down in the dumps about it or need something to relate too! I thought it would be fun to post these songs in here, maybe you'll discover a new one you never heard ! ;)

Anyway these three are my current ones, the first one being my all time fav and what I like to call the "theme song" of my life lol;

1. "Haven't Met You Yet" by Michael Buble (I know its not christian, but its still a great song!)
2. "Wait" by Group 1 Crew
3. "Someday Soon" by Francesca Battistelli

Lol I know these music choices arent really Christian but I enjoyed them as a single moody teenager:

Linkin Park (screamo phase)
Destiny's Child (Feminist RnB phase)
Thirty Seconds to Mars (2nd screamo phase)
Fat Freddys Drop/Salmonella Dub (Reggae chillout music phase)
Meatloaf/Bonnie Tyler (Bogan phase)
Dido/Anna Nalik (always crying phase)

Then when I started a relationship Id listen to music like:

Savage Garden ie 'Truly madly deeply'
90s RnB ie Boys to Men
Joe Cocker
Eric Clapton
Westlife and other 'boy band' type music lol.

One day Closer ~ Carolyn Dawn Johnson
♫♫Everyday I pray that God will keep you safe
Cause I know your out there somewhere

So I'm not gonna worry
No I'm in no hurry
It's in the hands of fate
There's nothing I can do
And it might be tomorrow
Or the one that follows
Got the rest of my life to look forward to
Cause everyday is one day closer♫♫

The One - Terri Clark
I want fireworks to paint the sky
A kiss to burn my lips
I wanna feel the touch that pounds my heart down to my fingertips
And twenty years from now it still won’t be as good as it will get
It might be a lot to ask for but I won’t take any less
Just because I won’t settle don’t mean I won’t settle down;)
I don’t need a love that I can live with
I want the one I can’t live without

Bebo Norman - Perhaps She'll Wait - Bebo Norman -Perhaps She'll Wait - YouTube
Also "Where the Angels Sleep" by Bebo.

Melanie Penn - Wake Up Love - Wake Up Love - Melanie Penn - YouTube Dear goodness what a voice.
Song of Solomon 2:7 Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you
by the gazelles and by the does of the field:
Do not arouse or awaken love
until it so desires.

Andrew Peterson - Dancing in the Minefields - Andrew Peterson - Dancing in the Minefields - YouTube

I'm sure I could come up with more, but that's what came to mind.
Many would say this is more of a married person's song, but I love it..and it makes me want something like that. It paints a beautiful but realistic picture I'd say.

Wow I can't believe it! You're like the only one in so many music/song threads that actually mentioned bands and artists that I've heard of! :)

Mood Rings by Relient K:D

we all know the girls that i am talking about
well they are time bombs and they are ticking
and the only question's when they'll blow up
and they'll blow up; we know that without a doubt
cause they're those girls, yeah you know those girls that let their emotions get the best of them

and i've contrived some sort of a plan to help my fellow man
let's get emotional girls to all wear mood rings
so we'll be tipped off to when they're ticked off
cause we'll know just what they're thinking
cause what they're thinking...

she's so pretty but she but doesn't always act that way
her mood's out swinging on the swing set almost every day
she said to me that she's so happy it's depressing
and all i said was "someone get that girl a mood ring"

if it's drama you want then look no further
they're like the real world meets boy meets world meets days of our lives
and it just kills me how they get away with murder
they'll anger you then bat their eyes; those pretty eyes that watch you sympathize

and i've contrived some sort of a plan to help my fellow man
let's get emotional girls to all wear mood rings
so we'll be tipped off to when they're ticked off
cause we'll know just what they're thinking
cause what they're thinking...

she's so pretty but she but doesn't always act that way
her mood's out swinging on the swing set almost every day
she said to me that she's so stressed out that it's soothing
and all i said was "someone get that girl a mood ring"

cause when it's black (it) means watch your back because you're probably
the last person in the world right now she wants to see
and when it's blue it means that you should call her up immediately
and ask her out because she'll most likely agree
and when it's green it simply means that she is really stressed
and when it's clear it means she's completely emotionless (and that's all right i must confess)

we all know the girls that i am talking about
she liked you wednesday but now it's friday and she has to wash her hair
and it just figures that we'll never figure them out
first she's jekyll and then she's hyde....at least she makes a lovely pair

mood ring oh mood ring
oh tell me will you bring
the key to unlock this mystery
of girls and their emotions
play it back in slow motion
so i may understand the complex infrastructure known as the female mind

Its a good thing! And I know that song lol. Its by The Police. I love 90's music too and almost nothing from this decade. Most of my favorites are from the 70's though.

Uncalled for , I should PM on something like this, but I'm not. Uncalled for. Sorry, but we need to be in this forum in a spirit of agreement that we will edify and not debillitate. Words like this are not good, not now, not never.

God bless you, BlueAnime :)

Note: I am not trying to point you out over anyone else. We all make mistakes and this is not the only thing I ever see that is said that makes me frown, and, I even talk of my stuff I say but I felt led to say something and I hope and pray I said it well. The Lord leads me, this I pray, always :)

^ I'm not sure if this will matter to you, but the "word" you're calling her on is a band's name... The band that does the song she was talking about. I don't know how else she could've edited it. She wasn't insulting anyone though.

Those letters should not be meant from the mind of anyone, nicestguy. A group with 'those' 5 letters is not a real good topic of discussion on 'this' sensores, its a group I het without ever hearing their music , which I haven't and won't unless the Lord leads. no way, no how, no, no, no. But....

if I do go YouTube them for the sake of anzlysis I bet you $100 lm**o's music is not something I will be kind to.
Listen to music that builds up your understanding and Love for your Saviour, peeps.

God bless you all, bros., sis'

And, I apologize , blueanime for your referring to that group, I misread what you said , but, my point remains the same, regardless of my thinking you were just using that text to explain a current expression, hinge your thoughts on good God music and you will, as Elton John says in one of his songs, be blessed :)

Green, I will apologise on behalf of BlueAnime since I hmmed that song. I hate the name of that band but I like the song cos when my husband took me to see ice hockey for the first time they played that song during a screen kissing thing which we got on, and its just so darn catchy!!
But I do apologise.

LOVE this song!!!! One day Closer ~ Carolyn Dawn Johnson I always listen to it when I am feeling like no one cares and my love life is on hold. If you don't have it, it definitely worth the download.

Beautiful(Christina Aguilera, several people sing it, I like the guy version best, it's on the House soundtrack)
Single White Female- Chely Wright- that is a witty song about a girl who has a crush on a guy, but she doesn't want to tell him in person. So she places an ad.

That's just a few. I'm more of a country chica so I have different tastes.
