If you're truly interested in a counseling degree, social work would be a better way to go. It'll get you more jobs.

Brothers and sisters,

Walk-by-faith, why the intention to do mission work in India may I ask? Do you have any ties to the country? When I grow further as a Christian I would also love to serve the Lord with some mission work if that is his will, and India would also be my country of choice. The country has so much untapped potential in my oppinion. There are many ears willing to hear the word of the lord, but Satan is definitely at work there. There is a lot of anti christian violence in that country, and its not safe, for native christians and missionaries alike. God bless you, and if the Lord wills for you to spread his word there, my prayers are with you.

hahaha silly, yess you may ask!the work of the LORD shall never be kept in secret but in open to bring followers for HIM for HIS honor and glory.since i was little i always had a huge heart for people and a huge vision for GOD.india has several poor people, alot of whom are abandoned, helpless, forgotten, rejected, and everything else.I want so very much to go there and share the love of GOD with them, share GOD with them!Let them know that there is a way! There is an answer to their prayers and questions.there are children who are suffering there!and my heart goes to every unfortunate being there!there is a pastor of india who comes on here.his username is Noahn. His real name is Benjamin.he has given me information to contact him and wants more people to do missionary work there.i am praying and fasting that GOD shows me direction in this path.if i go to india and my prayer of doing missionary work comes to pass there,i will go on to africa, then on to other countries.i want to help=]

a little food for thought:pray and fast about it.ask GOD for direction in this path.if you want to do it,start asking GOD to prepare you for it.i've been wanting to do missionary work since i was little and i wholeheartedly want to do it.missionary work is something serious, yyesss it can dangerous, but "if GOD is with us,who can be against us?" the bible says "faith without works is dead" that's good, you are waiting and trusting in the LORD,but now work toward it.fast for it.ask for confirmation from GOD.get benjamin's information for when GOD answers you.if all three of us went, that would be awesome!where two or three are gathered in HIS name,HE is in the midst! hope i helped!=]

Scary eye but sweet warm heart. Like a lot of people in the chat rooms, but Rae in particular.

The door for missions work in India and other places are open. We are to pray to the Lord of the harvest that He would send laborers into the harvest (Mt 9:38).Jesus said to look to the fields that are white and ready to be harvested. Read (John 4:34-36). God gave you a calling and the word of God supports it 100%, don't wait, but go! Faith does not wait for things to happen. Faith believes God and acts upon the call of God. Faith does not question the call. If we only knew how many young people had a call to go on the missionfield but they put it off because they were talked out of it or wanted to get married or get some kind of education first. If God leads that way then okay but if you have a call, then go, go, go. Get your training in the word and go with those that are going. We have no idea when Christ is coming back, but we can make our life count for God in whatever calling God has given us.

The LORD has made the USA a client nation to train up disciples and send them into all the world. Get your training and obey your calling and go. That calling comes first before everything else and don't let anyone tell you different. Take that step of faith and go! Maybe God with let you finish your education on the missionfield and have you become a teacher, serving Him according to your call. God has given you a call and a cross to take up in that call. Jesus said if you want to follow me you must take up your cross and deny yourself (Mark 8:34). When you take up your cross and obey your call, God will supply all your need. God will supply the need when you take that step of faith.

I always go on there and every time i get on i say "HI-EE!" or "HI GUYS HOW ARE YOU?" i get a few responses once in a while but other wise, people just continue on with their conversations and dont exactly send out the welcome wagon so i just go on the threads haha

That's great that you're back in school as an adult. I'm 50 and back in school studying for the chaplaincy. I think I appreciate learning much more at this age than I did when I was in my late teens and early twenties. It's difficult to fit it in between family and work, but with God's help we can do it, right?!

I pray the best for you and your family as you follow God's calling, blueangel.
