On my roadtrip last week, I met two incredibly beautiful women. One was in the restroom brushing her lovely, long silver hair. One was the waitress who served me breakfast, her hair was white as snow. Both of these women were very soft spoken, had the sweetest of smiles and sparkling eyes that reflected not only intelligence, but wisdom as well. They were poised, gracious and carried themselves in an elegant, but not haughty, manner. It was easy to imagine them knowing much of life and love.

Women my age are sometimes told that we are as beautiful as women in their 20s. I hope that's not true because I haven't met many women in their 20s who are as truly beautiful to me as many in their silver years.

I Peter 3 - 3 Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. 4 Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. 5 For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to adorn themselves.

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair, let a child run his or her fingers through it once a day.
For poise, walk with the knowledge you'll never walk alone.
People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; Never throw out anybody.
Remember, If you ever need a helping hand, you'll find one at the end of your arm.
As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself, the other for helping others.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.
The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole, but true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows, and the beauty of a woman with passing years only grows!

Soooo much truth in this. The old cliche about the eyes being the window to the soul is so true. You can tell a lot about a person by what is in their eyes.

lil, I wish I had been half the godly woman you are already at your age. :) Your momma has done an amazing job with you girls and I tell her so frequently. :) You are a blessing!

I wish more people actually performed actions to back up their words on the issue of "I want your beautiful soul". It sounds nice when you say it, but when it comes time to act on it, most people don't, including most Christians. I'm not directing this at anyone in particular, just a general statement.

very well written and right :) people who are all about looks in their 20s also forget that in their silver years things become to change and they might not anything like the looks they once had.

I just remember my fault, Sunday morning at work real early like between 130am and 300am, I help a customer, don't know her name, but while I talked to her I could honestly, hear (spiritually) the Holy Spirit, proudly saying this is my child, and yes she was very attractive. If you have ever watch 18 kids and counting she reminded me of a mix of Anna Duggar (Josh's Wife) and Jana Duggar (the Duggar oldest daughter). I have had my spirit connect with other believers but never that strongly (Romans 8:16).

Talk about the very opposite of a customer from hell, she really was a customer from heaven.
