If you could choose one person to be your matchmaker who would it be? God is the obvious choice, but who would you choose from the people that you know? Your mom, dad, pastor, best friend, mentor?

A committee of all of my Ex-girlfriends.

They could all sit around a large circular table, swap stories, sort through a pile of files and find someone who they think I should marry.

On a more serious note...

I think I would trust my Grandmother. She is amazing. If I didn't know any better I would say that I came directly from her. We think the same way, we act the same, we pretty much look the same and most of all we really get each other. No one else in our whole family has it the way we do.

My 9 year old son.

When my lil girl was sick and I had to stay up and take care of her, my son stayed up with me without me asking him to; assisting me in all ways his young hands could manage. My son understood that I'm not supposed to be alone in taking care of them and he tries to fill that absence.. that just blew my mind. I will never forget that night.

and surprisingly, he urges me to consider dating again! lol

For some, I know it's stupid but yes, my son's opinion will matter A LOT in this.

One of my older stepsisters. She knows me like no one else. There is nothing I can't tell her. She's a godly woman with a heart of gold and is a true steel magnolia.

The only matchmaker that i accept is God.

Some matchmakers tried to manage my life when i was 18 and it was a nightmare, so i wouldnt let anyone do the same again, i only trust in God.

No one. I may seek opinions and insights from friends into someone i may consider, but otherwise its really no one elses business.

the only person i would trust has a bit of an idea what would be good for me here on this earth that is a human being is my father..he is very wise..and sometimes when he has told me things, they've happened. Not saying he does not make mistakes..but if i had to trust in a human to match make for me, it would be Dad..outside of that, i am unsure if even i have the capacity to choose correctly at times. It is a hard thing, because even when you do find a believer who is like minded they have baggage, don't know what they want in life..are very insecure, have little to no relationship experience..don't know how to act when a guy is actually nice to them..etc etc. I still am going to keep being nice, but i do try to keep it chill in this dept..even in church today, noticed a cutie but i wasn't going to do what all the other guys were doing which was 'say hi and introduce themselves'. I am doing the best i can to trust God..i had made bad mistakes/choices in this dept in the past..so i am doing what i can to do things differently.
