So or you a person who like dogs or cats or some other type of animal?

I love birds. There are so many beautiful birds that God has made, yesterday I got to listen to a cardinal singing, help to make my day.

I remember once reading on another forum, of a woman who had a pet shark . Someone asked her aren't you worry about it eating you at feeding time, she say no, her and her husband feed the shark together, and she could outswim him.

I love most animals, especially the BIG cats. Tigers, panthers, cheetas...love to watch them run. Horses too. Power in motion.

Domestically, I prefer dogs to cats.

Speaking of birds, a bizarre thing happened on Monday. A flock of white doves flew across the highway in front of my car. I've seen a lot of gray doves in this area, but these were all white.

I like watching eagles and hawks fly too.

Actually, I am both so that makes me either a Dat person or a Cog person.

I love both cats and dogs and I've had both at different times in my life. Cats are nice because they don't have loud barks and they don't ask for much attention. Dogs are nice because they really show their affection and you can take them for walks and runs and teach them stuff. Cats show their affection too, just in a different way.

As far as pets go I've had both dogs and cats and really can't say I prefer one over the other as ownership of either has it's benefits and drawbacks. Although a dog provides by far better companionship, cats don't need constant care and can be left unattended for a couple of days if need be.

I love horses, they are elegant and graceful animals. During my 20's I had the luxury of having friends in CA that owned them, so i got to go riding routinely. My first year in Colorado I lived with friends that had 8 horses (most of them mustangs), sure they're a lot of hard work, but it's worth it.

As far as non-domestic animals, I love the big cats. I had the pleasure of having an impromptu romp with a lion cub (German Shepard sized) at this place The Shambala Preserve presented by The Roar Foundation in my 20's, quite the experience. Hawks, eagles and falcons are the epitome of grace and beauty when it comes to birds. Wolves however are the wild animals I've always had a passion for. They are probably the most misunderstood and demonized wild animal out there. One of these days I'm going to go here, CWWC - Home it isn't far from where I live, but the "good" tour that allows interaction with the animals is a bit pricey.

All of them (animals)
God created them all and told us to rule over 'em.

(thread seemed too random so I'd thought I'd bring Jesus into it)

So because God loves them all, and i want to be just like Him, i love them all & wish i had many to look after :)

God Bless! <3

I definitely prefer dogs by far :) My favorite animal though is a goat! Maybe it's because I grew up with goats. I find them to be adorable. Mine was kinda like a dog (though she lived in the barn), so maybe that's why I love goats.

I really like the picture Julianna, and agree dogs really seem to be our friends, and nothing against cats, but we do seem to be their servants.

AdornableNoel, I really love that answer.

Right now I thank God, for one dog in particular, don't know what kind, accept it is used by the police. Some friends of my where involved in a car accident, the other driver hit them (he was drunk) and ran, when he tried to outrun the police their dog, took a good size bit out of his backslide, so he had to go to the hospital.

Praise God, the friends, are doing better.

The cat I had spent most of her time sitting by the window or perched up somewhere. She would only ask for attention about twice a day or if she was hungry. Maybe its because we pet her and played with her often. She was very scared of people and would hide whenever someone would come over. I guess it depends on the breed too.

Aw pauvre bebe! Did you adopt her from a pet store? Often animals from pet stores and not home breeders are skittish or agressive. (The reasons are too sad for me to explain) Playing with toys with the cat, and then handing the toy to a visiter when he/she comes over may help. That depending on the breed is just about as accurate as a dog being violent just because its a pittbull- the 'skittishness' can be in the genes but not because of the breed :)

Lol.. i've had a love for animals since i was in diapers haha. You can just imagine how much of my life has been wasted just researching those things! And you dont want to know what happpens to animals in america :( anywhoo.. all of that was kind of random but if you take my suggestion i hope it helps :)

My dream pet :D
Cats are too independent and demanding for me... Plus I'm allergic to them anyway, so that works out!

I bet they were released for a wedding or something. But who knows! Cool, though.

Someone needs to create a cat/dog hybrid. That way we can have the best of both, an animal that's happy to see you without needing to be let out all the time. :D
